How was your experience with Bamboo? I was considering them cos they are only a little more ex than budget but with luggage is almost about the same.

Bamboo has included 20kg in the price.
meals are served onboard which is not bad.
i would prefer them over budget. Bad thing is once u reach VN, u will stop at the domestic terminal and then take a bus over to the international terminal. same for vietjet, vn air

travel to VN no need what test , no need insurance no need the PC Covid app.
They are back to normal already.
Can try bamboo airways, abit more expensive then budget but below Vietnam Air.
Have check in bags of 20kgs, inflight meals and entertainment ( via ur mobile devices )

Best to visit there over the weekends because the Police will block ALL THE ROADS and it becomes a HUGE WALKING AREA

• - Within this area, you can walk around the lake which is already very popular with the locals for things like jogging, strolling their dogs, Pat-tor
• - Vietnam Egg coffee (Try both hot and iced)
• - Vietnam Sticky rice
• - Bun Bo Nam Bo
• - Hoan Kiem Weekend Night Market (The Biggest in Vietnam iirc)
• - Famous Trang Tien ice cream
• - Hanoi Opera House
• - Beer Street

2) West Lake aka Ho Tay
3) Pottery Village (Need to travel outside of Hanoi city around 45-mins to 1 hour)
4) Lotte Building Observation Deck
5) St Joseph Cathedral
6) Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum
7) Hanoi Train street

Outside of Hanoi....
You can consider 2D1N stay Ha Long Bay
and 3D2N stay SAPA Mountains but do consider that the travel up to SAPA is around 6 to 8 hours by Car or bus or train

Thanks for sharing, I was considering Bamboo but their return flights from HCMC is abit too early for some days - at 750am.

Yeah they don't have daily flights .
Their latest timing is 9.45am .
I would be flying there end month again.

Agree. Landed in Danang today. Never check for insurance, Covid app or even vaccination status. Like normal travel

Also exchanged rate is 17000 at the gold shop near Han market today

Reached hcm. Really no covid checks at all. Like normal travel. my flight is the only arrival at that time. Out of 20+ counters, only 4 opened for customs clearance before another few more opened. Saw many planes landing, about 1 every 2 mins, but think they're cargo flights. met up with some friends before go off to find a hotel. Now riding around the city.

Change a bit in singapore… so that you can get sim card and transport to hotel from Noi bAi airport (quite far out… around 45mins to 1hour away from hanoi city)

there are several jewellery shops along Ha trung street and Hang Bac street
(Old Quarter Hoan Kiem lake) to change SGD to VND

feel free to compare before committing

usually… i will go with either
1) Quoc Trinh Gold Shop
2) Kim Linh Jewelry
Cuz their rates usually the highest

But if the rate is better with others… i will change with others

Not surprised… maybe they tio gaolat gaolat by foreigners in the past… and now to play safe, they charge ridiculous deposits

Alternatively, You can ask the hotel you are staying.
Some of them rent motorbikes for their hotel guests to use

Just came back from Da Nang - they are back to normal but we still wear face masks Not much international tourists so most of the famous food shops we were able to try without queue, even attractions like Ba Na Hills so I guess best time to visit.

Going back need fill up SG arrival card (online) and provide vaccine cert on the airport check in, not sure if this is only with Vietnam airlines but good thing we had printed all our vaccine certs.

When i took vn air back, they also asked for vaccine certs

have you got a good ha long bay cruise operator to recommend?

I've been looking at some, but I'm unsure if they are operating.

How about booking thru a tour operator?
