i have a tip for all who would want to look for supper after midnight.

cos most of the stores are closed, you can check out Sheraton Hotel's casino and they have free food for their customers.
just go there and play a bit and you get to taste some great food which is super hard to find after midnight.

dun forget to bring your ID or passport along.. you need to register, only foreigners are allowed into the casino under vietnam law

most if not all 4 star hotels and above have small games room in their hotel, its a vietnamese law anyway, only 4 star hotel and above are allowed to accomodate games room in their premises although most of them are privately owned and run..

is the US dollar the currency in use ? or uses dong as well?

u dun have to walk to sheraton if u are just planing on going for some quick, u can go to New World instead, to walk to sheraton would take approximately 30mins of walk at least..

US Currency. non hotel guests can go in as well, as long as you are a foreigner

hi all,
I oso jus came back from hcmc over e wkend. overall, find e place very neat n tidy even tot e things they sell r kinda those tat we find 20 yrs ago in sg. onli a few things need to take note. b very careful when crossing e road, hv to keep lookg left n right. our guide told us theres 100 ppl die on e road everyday. my fren even witness 1 of e accident happened. another thing need to take note is e taxi. e , is actually thousand. those dishonest cab driver will try to cheat u. i onli took 2 trips of taxi on my own (e rest wif my other frens) & was cheated by them twice. e meter shows 15,0 dong which is 15,000 dong but when i gave them 20,000 dong they say its not enuff & took 200,000 dong from me. so b very careful esp if they c u not v familiar wif countg e $. as for hotel, elios is quite a nice hotel (mayb bcos i stayg at e deluxe room). staffs are all very nice & can speak v good english and service is good. breakfast is nice too wif different variety everyday (even tot i onli had 2 breakfast there). onli 3 draw back. 1. theres no hot water in e room, so got to get from housekeepg, 2. have to go to lobby to take breakfast coupon everyday then go up to their cafe on 12th flr (lift onli till 11th flr & hv to climb up 1 flr). hotel is not realli close to ben thay mkt, ard 10 mins walk.

i dun know about free food.. but i do know most games room give free flow of drinks and cigerettes too sometimes..

have u tried checking out the Addidas retail shops?

heard from frens the genuine addidas items are very cheap there...is it true?

er.. saigon seems fine to me.. at least in the city central..Hanoi is pretty bad due to the record rain drop in one day..

you can change your sin currency to dong there..

didnt realli go n c cos my trip is very short. 2 full days onli. onli went to 1 shopg ctr, diamond plaza. its x there.

you can find dong at some singapore money changer. usd is widely used there. u can oso bring S$ to vietnam n change to dong n e rate is slightly better than sg.

rainy season at hcm. it will rain n stop wif sun then rain again. so its advisable to bring umbrella along.
