Would we also face the same problem of lack of availability of rooms if we are looking at hostels? Thanks for your advice.:D

Yes, as december is the holiday season..if you are looking for hostels..thats around Pham Ngu Lao Street..but i prefer staying around Cho Ben Thanh Market bcos it is so convenience to shop around Cho Ben Thanh Market and Hai Ba Trung Street and Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Junction.

didn't know techadd a man utd fan until i saw him in the forum! i am one too!

anyway, back to the topic. miss vietnam alot after i came back, a very nice place! tried their traditional coffee at their cafe, it was very very nice! in a place like starbucks but way cheaper.

Oh yeah..i really enjoy drinking my coffee at Trung Nguyen Cafe joint, i alway ask for : cà phê sữa đá (coffee milk with ice)...hahaha

I think it doesn't differ much where you change money. Unless you change $10K, you only gain/lose 2,3$ max when you exchange around 500$.

You can change at any jewelry store. They all follow bank exchange rate.

as per the above...the difference in what u change in airport or at downtown is minimal..:)

pham ngu lao very near my hotel... can come and look for me... i am at de tham street... elios hotel also very near...

No one seem to know where to hunt for vintage watches in HCMC....:(

Bo time liao..... 7 days to go.......

Do we still have to pay for the departure tax... heard that's USD14 per pax!:eek:

i currently studying in temasek poly den intership at vietnam lor... now putting up at hotel till my company finds an apartment for us lor... my workplace at de tham street... hehe

tech, if free can bring me and my 2 malay girl friends around... we love vietnam coffee...
