for those who need visa, only need to apply landing visa at vietnam airport (US$25), vietnam embassy here charge 100 for the "admin fee"

Please check with respective embassies, Asean countries do not need visa coupled with several other selected Asian countries...

coffee powder can try at benh thanh market where they let u taste the different varities of freshly ground coffee beans and can bargain also

i find G7 coffee more fragrant than trung nguyen, but they have different grades also and both are comparable

got 1 day, 2day n 3day for u to pick
full package inclusive of breakfast and hotel
u can opt to stay w the local if u dont want to stay in hotel.
another opt is to hv aircon or not additonal USD$2 (imo, its out to cheat more $ lar as most hotels has aircon)

if u brave enough to try w/o air con pls let me know if there's reali no air con.
my recommendation is go for 2days one.. else is really just travel there for a few hrs and come back. not worth it. at nite is kinda diff from HCMC. around 9pm most of the shops close except some road side stall for u to buy a drink n enjoy the breeze.

to me its kinda troublesome to travel there cos need to book bus, den ferry, den bus again. im too lazy and cannot plan till so details. just pay abit more $ let ppl do the planning n adminstrative work for me. anyway, is not really ex.

a china woman (who speak eng so kns) 15$

I cant really rem the pricing. The above pricing is just an estimation as i rem ang mo is like 10-20$ more than me and china is 10$ lesser than me. and all of us booked our tour in diff agency.

Oh..i always enjoy my first cup of coffee in trung nguyen cafe every morning when i travel to hcmc..i enjoy Arabica SE (is sweet and refreshing coffee with no bitterness.

at ho chi minh now.....dun be conned by those "cyclo" riders near benh thah mkt.....somethg like rickshaw riders in beach rd in singapore that caters to tourists.....they will swarm upon u like locusts....n insists it is only 15000 dong, which is abt 1.5sgd to your location....

but they bring u to tour extra places...n at your destination, they asked got 800,000 dong ( abt 70+, 80 sgd !!!, for 4 pax )..we asked many times, n they always say 15000 dong...nt tht we nv check...they r out to cheat tourists!!!

...even a cab ride is cheaper!.....after complaning n hagglisng for a while etc...they cut to 600,000 dong.........but it is only when the guys in green uniform ( i saw the word "tourist security" on their uniform)...then they ok.....those guys can speak ok english.......anythg always look for these "tourist security" guys in green uniform for help....can always see a few at various tourist places...

exchange rates changes everyday....at money exchnage near hostel...it is 1: 11,120 yesterday ( tuesday )....at airport 2 days ago ( monday )...it was 1: 11,073....at benh thah mkt ( those jewellery shops, a few in a row i think...went to one of them, nv research diff rates btw them.. )...it was 1: 11,150 2 days ago ( monday ).......hostel ppl can chnage with us also...but rate is 11,000

for usd, nv update...but at airport 2 days ago when arrived...it was 1: 16,985...

they bring you around the city.....wat saigon river n stuffs, cant rem.......kinda diff experience...coz u sit front....they peddle beh u, but noise n dust pollution on the road....if u really wan to try...get a face mask i guess.........they keep saying 15000 dong / pax...at the end, bring u tour close to 1hr....800,000 dong for 4 pax....siao bo ???...........all ppl....be warned....
