Coach from Hanoi and then change to ferry from Hai phong

Don't know any good tailor in Hanoi since I don't long stay there + don't speak local language

Will there be guides available there? or would it be better to join a package from the hostel in Hanoi?

Tour packages are easily available, especially in hostel and hotels.
But of course, it's not gonna be cheap
Unless you have a local friend to bring you around

If you wanna maximize your trip to hcmc... always try 1st flight in the morning (by scoot), because the number of international flights arriving at Hcmc airport is not a lot...
After 9 or 10am... The customs will get really crowded and long Q

Hi guys! First time in vietnam with a friend we will be heading to HCM for 4days(4d3N).

The big question is there anything that we absolutely should not miss? And should i change all my sgd to vnd or save some and change when needed?

Anyone familiar with the clubbing culture as well?

Welcome to Vietnam!

I will always recommend you to experience their motorbike culture. Join their motorbike city tour. The info should be easily available at your hotel lobby.

2nd will be the walking street, Nguyen Hue. Go after dinner like 8pm.

3rd Panorama skyline view @ Bitexco Building (which looks like the Tony Stark Building) 52nd floor, EON heli bar or the observation skydeck

4th sitting down by the roadside 7 early 8 early sipping a nice cup of Vietnamese drip coffee, and watch the world go by.

In terms of clubbing, what kind of budget are you looking at? Low? Medium? High?
Low will be Bui Vien
Medium will probably be places like Kingdom Beer Club and Apocalypse
High will be PLAY, GLOW

Since it's your first time to Vietnam, I will recommend you to change more. As everything is new to you and you may wish to experience them.
If you stay in Ben Thanh Market area, there are two money changer

Wow, thank you so much, didnot know about the motorbike city tour. I was told to stay at district 1 as there is most tourist stuff and relatively safe as long i dont pull out my hp on the road side or show a huge chunk of cash.

What are the price like for medium and high range club. And also i read about LUSH club is it still relevant? Or even MCM club?

I be staying for 4d3n but an early flight back on the last day. was thinking 600-800?

Lush pricing around same as Apocalypse
I don't know much about MCM

From the motorbike tour, I made some local vn friends whom I keep in contact even till now because i go there frequently due to work. The motorbike tour are mostly guided by the local Vietnam uni students... Mostly girls =)

Well 90% of hotels in any countries are concentrated in the tourist area, except Singapore lolx. Even for me... My first visit to hcmc, I stayed in D1 liberty hotel.

Super convenient. Ben Thanh market, Saigon centre, takashimaya, pho 2000, trung nguyen legend cafe all within walking distance of 5-10mins

Basically there are also some other things to avoid, like
- local people who are way too friendly and helpful
- local people, especially drivers, ask questions like "where are you from?", "Where do you stay?", "When are you going back?"

If early morning flight back sg is cheap then take it, otherwise, I will usually take first scoot flight out and then take scoot back

Vnd biggest is 500k note.
Smallest is 1000 note.

At sg money changer, smallest note iirc is 50k

There are many nice cafes in hcmc and many are themed. But the one I recommend will be the KOI Saigon Garden restaurant

Cafe building @ Nguyen Hue (visiting night time) and need to give me cash for taking the lift to go up

M2C cafe, ID cafe etc

Woah if they give me 50k notes, i will faint. Thinking if i should bother to change vnd at arcade or just do at noi bai airport.

Anyway, why changi and not at the hcm airport?

if you into craft beer, there are quite few cool craft breweries around HCM. so far tried Pasteur Street Brewing Company, Biacraft. am pretty happy with taste & varieties. am sure there are more around, google is your friend :)
