Certainly. The point is to be at Hoi An for one afternoon, spend the evening there for the night market, catch the morning market and breakfast before leaving,

Hoi an more beautiful at night with lanterns and boat rides than day, which is too hot. I fact, I spent 4 nights to tailor, eat, play and tour. If you watch Hoi An memories show, it ends at 9pm, cannot get taxi out one, will drop at old town, then probably close to 10pm, might as well stay in Hoi An. Next morning can go coconut forest bamboo boat ride

Just get a airport transfer car at Noi Bai Intl airport arrival hall. Iirc around 400-550K vnd.
Nowadays a lot of fake mai linh and Vinasun taxi

Prices at some places like airport in USD only but they use rate of 1usd to 23k, so you still tan dio, but if price is usd, mostly likely price inflated already

Obviously you need dong to pay for street food and grab. near market always have gold shops and exchange there, rate should be 100 to 200 higher than Singapore, provided you have cash for airport transfer, tips and trip to gold shop. So you may need to change some here or airport

USD as backup and make sure it is $100 per note

so the amount jump much faster

But I rarely take grabcar from noi bai airport. Cuz scared the car is those small small ones
I just get hotel transfer car and from my experience, they will use those Alphard type. Big and comfy

Planning to head to Sa Pa when I'm in Hanoi later this month.

Thinking of taking the bus in the AM, reach Sa Pa city in the afternoon. Then the rest of the day just walk around the city centre and relax.

Second day AM take the cable car up to Fansipan then PM visit Cat Cat Village.

Anywhere else I should go? I don't plan to do tours or do homestay. Usually do solo when I travel. Can trek somewhere alone?

Thatz what I heard in vietnam

First time inHCM. Noticed my cab meters jumped very fast. My heart beats also beats faster like the meter.
