Is there anything to do in Vinh city? Not the outskirts. Food recommendations are highly welcomed too.

You have to use the address of the night market for your search in Google Map. Ky Hoa Night Market is at Cao Thắng Nối Dài, Quận 10 – Hồ Chí Minh

See water puppet show
eat Vietnamese food that you cannot find in Singapore or hard to find, e.g oc or snails. A lot of clams and shellfish cooked in Vietnamese style too. I recommend this place. https://maps.app.goo.gl/BZuF3ur8BVvuwEDx5?g_st=ic
drink craft beer. HCM has wonderful craft beer scene and prices much better than Singapore.
Go for Vietnamese full suite service at Korean barbershop. You get ears cleaned, hair wash, nails clipped, shave, facial with fresh cucumber and massage by Vietnamese girl of your choice,
watch AO show if you like arts
visit Cu Chi tunnels
Take photo with Tan Dinh church, which is pink
Drink egg coffee at little hanoi egg coffee
check out Japan Town and eat at one of the izakaya.
Go Saigon sky deck watch the skyline
trade education with Vietnamese girl. You teach her English, she teach you her body..haha, just joking.

Thanks bros! Actually, am going there for a short getaway with my wife and my 1.5YO. So there’s definitely some restriction on what we can do but will still visit the cuchi tunnel, cafe hopping etc.

Most importantly any clean massage spa/parlour to introduce? 🤣

Generally safe, except in HCM City. Having said that, always exercise caution.

The itinerary ticks all the places to visit and gave the correct travelling time. But for practicality, you have to look closer. For example, on Day 4, if you take such a long time to reach Hue, how can you have enough time to visit the listed sights?
I would beware of petty crime and watch out for motorcyclists.

Chatgpt is smart, but this itinerary is very ambitious. The middle part a bit crazy, one night in Ninh Binh, Hue, Danang, Hoi An each , it’s almost check in , check out hotel every day like backpacker and you don’t enjoy discounts with 1 night stays. If any part screw up, it may snowball and affect your flight to HCMC, the pace is fast, like trying to reach as many attractions in the shortest time.

if I visit the same cities, I probably spend 21 days rather than 13 Days. In fact, I usually spend 9 days in north Vietnam, 9 days in central Vietnam and 9 days in south Vietnam and I haven’t cover many cities like Da Lat, Nha Thang and Phu Quoc yet. I am a person who can easily spend 4 days in Hanoi, 4 days in HCMC, 3-4 days in Danang and 3 days in hoi An just to understand local culture and eat local food.

the chatgpt is smart enough to know you are moving from north to south and so arranged for shopping only on your last day in HCMC so that you have less to carry when you travel south. that means you cannot really buy much in hanoi and Central Vietnam.

This itinerary only give you personal time at night for a massage or craft beer, and yet there are so many things to do at night too, e.g Hoi An memories show, AO show, night markets, night bar crawl, night suppers, planning and making reservations for next day, etc

Thank you so much Beanstalk6 and Paladin!

Appreciate your help! Will adjust the itinerary accordingly. I don't intend to have a very rush trip. But to enjoy Hanoi/HCM and maybe Danang.

Actually can extend even Hue, Danang or Hoi an, e.g, you can check in only from 2pm, if you reach in the morning, are you going to bring your luggage to tour imperial palace, imperial tombs, Bana Hills, Hoi An coconut forest, or you are going to put them at hotel first and then go out to visit the places? Bana hills is at least 40mins from Danang city. Hue imperial tombs 40 mins from imperial palace. There are 3 tombs sites if I remember correctly.

Bana hills ( golden bridge, wine cellar, buffet lunch, amusement park, exhibition, shows, parade, garden, etc) can go up at 9am and come down at 6pm, and may not be enough still.

a lot of people go Hoi An never venture outside the old town unesco sites. There are plenty of attractions outside old town like coconut boat ride at coconut forest, terracotta park and learn pottery making at the village beside, Hoi an memories show and theme park, vin wonders Hoi an for river safari and different village huts of different provinces etc. Hoi an has its own cuisine too. Hoi an also has rice fields and beach. At night, can take boat along river and see lanterns.
https://maps.app.goo.gl/U781JM6XMGjjZ76s7?g_st=ic

danang has wonderful beach, seafood, Che ( dessert) , restaurants

besides local food and you will not repeat same dish in 21 days from north to south, these international restaurants are also recommended if you want something different

HCMC - Japanese restaurants like izakaya at Japan town - many of them and quite authentic with unique food like special rice balls. https://maps.app.goo.gl/cQFBQpdEyM4Gcu7Q8?g_st=ic
Danang - French restaurants like La comptoir https://maps.app.goo.gl/vZxqimcj5vHsA1c87?g_st=ic
hanoi and Hoi An - Korean bbq restaurants https://maps.app.goo.gl/mLuJr6quMDYhWFX4A?g_st=ic

because Vietnam was colony of French, and now has huge investments from Japanese and Koreans with large communities in these cities.

vietnam north cuisine (chim quay (roast pigeon), bun Cha, banh cuon, egg coffee, banh canh ghe, rice crust (ninh binh), goat meat (ninh binh) , horse meat (sapa) , bun Bo (dry or salad) ) etc
vietnam central cuisine ( Mi Quang, Cao lau, banh xeo, rose dumpling, bun Bo hue, seafood, banh beo, chicken rice) etc
vietnam south cuisine ( com tam, oc ( snails and shellfish), etc

north pho is different from South pho
banh Mi is everywhere but I find Hoi An the best. (MDM khanh)
spring rolls everywhere,

hanoi and HCMC have Chinatowns with some excellent dim sum restaurants too.
