does anybody know how i can get to Hoi An? and which sites do you guys usually use for hotel booking?

Among HCMC, Hanoi and Hoi An, which is the better place to go for 4D3N if you've never been to Vietnam?

4D3N, its better if you opt for HCMC or Hanoi, unless you are flying directly to Danang Aiport, then u can have an additional option for Hoi An trip..:)

Hi Folks!

The 13th Annual Vietnam Computer Expo is gonna be held from 16th-19th July 2008 in Saigon.

Anyone who is travelling to Saigon/HCM around this period of time is advised to make arrangements for their hotel accomodations early.

try along pasteur street, or near ben thanh market, and also along hai ba trung street.
clothes usually take about 2days max to make (unless they are really busy).

price wise, inclusive of the material can be somewhere along the range of 20-50 Sin Dollars.

Does these consist of tailoring Ao Dai ( the traditonal costume? )

Yes, 3/2 street is the street name, and along this street, there is a small junction which leads to Cao Thang Street where the night markets are operating daily in the evening. you can see the rows of night market stalls just at the start of this cao thang street, can't miss it...

you can find ao dai tailoring along these streets, although you might wanna opt for pasteur street ones since they are a couple of them located side by side...saves you the time..;)

My initial rough plan is this

Day 1 - Hanoi
Day 2 - Hanoi to Halong Bay
Day 3 - Halong Bay to Nha Thrang
Day 4 - Nha Thrang
Day 5 - Nha Thrang to HCMC
Day 6 - HCMC and depart

I will like to spend 1-2 days on the beach resort. Want to enjoy the beach and the breeze.
Heard that Nha Trang is the most famous and beautiful beach in Vietnam?
I missed out Dalat . I think I should Think I should extend my trip to 8 days?, if not like not enough days to cover the places

Bus travel from Nha Trang to HCMC? or Domestic Flight from Nha Trang to HCMC?

If travel by bus, you might as well stay longer in Nha Trang and skip HCMC.. since its about 8hours by bus (depending on traffic) unless you are extending your stay.

Nha Trang - Dalat by bus 4-7 hours. (Traffic conditions + no. of stops it makes apply)
Dalat - Hcm by bus 4-6 hours. (Traffic conditions + no. of stops it makes apply)

keep SGD and change it in Vietnam. rate of sgd in vietnam is good now, usd rate is not good in vietnam. moreover, its not good when you change 2 times.

Freeze Dried Lotus Seeds?

Hi, I will be heading to HCM next week. My dad told me that his colleague brought back some Freeze Dried Lotus Seeds from VIetnam and they tasted pretty good.

He also said must make sure not to mix up with raw lotus seeds.. Must be the cooked or roasted ones..

Anyone knows abt the Freeze Dried Lotus Seeds?

Thanks

Ok this seems dumb but my friend jio me to HCM in april cos he has to do something for 5-6 days there but I have stuff to do the 1st 2 days.

So if l join him is only for 3 days. Worth to go anot? I don't want to spend since is quite unplanned. Also for only 2-3 days enough for light trip? He claims total will cost me less then go KL, true?

Jetstar has offer now $28 so I really thinking over properly.
