They use the same voltage as Singapore, 220v, however its two pin here instead of three pins that u use in Singapore, do remember to bring the travel adaptor along :)

Hi Techadd

Is there any hotel rooms for the duration of Sat 20th Sept to Wed 24th of Sept 2008?

I'm taking leave with my mum on those few days and plan to visit Vietnam and to return to Singapore either on Tues 23rd Sept to Wed 24th.

Looking for a relaxing trip overall. Must include a visit to Halong Bay.
Can Halong Bay be done in 1 day or 2 days? Are there Spas on Halong Bay?
A good spa and massage is essential for my mum.

My side I think I will book Jetstar Asia since the flights are affordable.

Sat I will fly at 7.25 in the morning arrive probably at 11am Singapore Time?

I notice the Day 1 for Tour Code: 4HL starts at night.

Are you going to HCM or Hanoi? Cos jetstar only flies to HCM which is quite a distance from Halong Bay. You might have to take an internal flight or bus up to Halong Bay which will affect your itinerary. :)

He'll have to switch to pacific airlines for the transit at the HCM Airport for flight to Hanoi :)

Stay near benh thanh market area, or pham ngu lao area..go ben than market or saigon square for shopping, visit cu chi tunnel, walk around the city, go for a mekong day trip, go visit war museum.. try local beef noodles and other delicacies.. drink coffee at alfresco style coffee houses..watch the invasion of motorcycles after office hours...:s13::s13:

ya lor. since he going with his mom, might be a good idea to either just explore HCM and vicinity or fly direct to Hanoi if he really wants to go Halong Bay. Easier for older folks mah. :)
