Its a norm to sign up their day tours?

Can comment on the following? Is it exp?

The Great holy See temple, buit in 1926, is considered one of the most striking structures in all of Asia. It is the headquter of Caodaism, a relegion with colorful mix of Buddhism, Christiannity, Confucianism. Visitors will attend the noo prayer session to witness the daily mass held by the Cao Dai followers, which is a great experience. After lunch, visitors will go to the Cu chi tunels.

Located 60km from Hochiminh city, Cu Chi is now considered a heroic district for its role in the anti - American war in Vietnam. It is legendary for its tunnels system of over 220km and is a popular spot for both Vietnamese and foreign visitors.

The peacefully rural rice paddy scenery contains ducks and water buffalos swimming in the rivers alongside the road. Visitors will find it hard to imagine the destructions, damage and defoliation all over the area, caused by bombing and mines, When Cu Chi was " A Free Target Zone ". The remnants visitors will see, show Cu Chi still has her evidence to prove the fierce battleground that took place there and visitors will see the remnants.

entrance fee to cu chi is 80,000 dong.. lunch less than 50,000 will do.. u do yr math..

wat the name and where the sister hotel? i realised for beautiful saigon, the location quite gd.. less than 5 mins u can go to the drinking area where there's lots of ang-mo there.. from ben thanh market take cab back to hotel the meter nv jump at all.. walk over less than 10mins but we lazy cause cab fare cheap..

most of the hotels that we read in this forum are either at the main road or further in the road same as beautiful saigon.. i wanted to book saigon mini 5, but quite lucky i nv do so.. cause its kinda far..

no.. u jus walk over.. provided u stay at beautiful saigon.. if yr hotel is too far.. they will pick u up.. i followed them to a few hotels to pick up tourists..

Hi all,

I will be visiting HCMC on 14 June and staying for 2 or 3 nights before moving up to central Vietnam and continuing to Hanoi. I might decide to go to Luang Prabang (Laos). Have a friend's wedding on 27.

Does anyone know what is the cheapest way to get into Laos? I don't mind the drudgery and weariness of long overland bus trips as long as it's cheap compared to taking a plane. If all else fails I will fly, but where in Vietnam should I fly from?

I have actually been to HCMC a year ago, but had food poisoning after eating at a place called 'BBQ Garden'. Vomitted up black stuff, fever, diarrhea. Thought I would die overseas. Till now, I do not know if it's the fish or the 'rabbit meat' we ordered. Could have been some rat they caught from some drain. Bad experience the first time and most of my time was spent dying in the hotel. So this time I hope to visit again.

Btw if anyone will be in HCMC from 14 - 16 June do buzz me up for drinks. PM me if you want my number.
