dont bother, it's just one whole stretch of street stalls selling food, clothes, shoes, and what have you.....its a mkt for the locals....

the stall holders dun speak a word of english....so i suggest you give it a miss....nothing fantastic there....

Ho Chi Minh - Dalat - Nha Trang

Hanoi - Sapa - Halong Bay

in general, if we show the taxi drivers the address in english alphabets, they'll be able to understand rite?

when i went, the guesthse boss drew us a simple map, with the vietnamese street names, to show the driver....like i said, its not worth the trip there.

i mean other street names...not 3/2 street only...like if we write "pasteur street"...will the driver know?

ic..thanks...cos i know the pronunctiation of vietnamese words are not what they seem...so have to find a way to let them know where exactly to go...i guess a mixture of the map + handwritten address should work :)

Anyone tried Kangaroo Cafe in Hanoi before?

I read a lot of good reviews, and also some bad ones...

I went to the website, and it gave me one whole ton of rubbish that they are true and authentic and goes on to 'expose' other shops of copying and spoiling their good reputation...

When I emailed them for quotation and itinerary, someone emailed me back with a whole barrage of the same rubbish from the website, plus their itinerary was written in a sarcastic tone to put down their competitors...

I felt so turned off by high-and-mighty and yet desperate language they use... Maybe I'll try Sinhtourist or some others....

guys...i heard its better to go on tour for chu chi tunnel instead of touring it independently .... is it true ? because of some restriction of not allowing tourist to roam the area freely?

i think join tour better as the tour guide will explain to u.. cu chi tunnel is located inside the forest so i dun think quite safe for u to roam yourself..

Hi,

Anyone know if the tour has any hidden charges? I heard from a friend that there will be a lot of "optional choices". Eg: u will be suggested to take a speed boat back at an additonal cost..the so called lunch-provided is miserable hence u've got no choice but to order more food... etc

i am taking the Mekong river tour with the hotel.

Hope to hear more information before i go this week! thanks
