i think its more worthwhile to stay overnight. quite nice to stay overnight on board the boat.

thank you!

I'll be staying at An Hung Hotel in Hanoi.

I've got the first and fourth day free n easy...any shopping or tourist attractions nearby?

I will be on a 1 week trip to Hanoi, Halong and Da Nang next week... may I know how much SG$ to bring to convert to VND (won't do much shopping, and hotels/transport are pretty much paid in advance already). I am thinking around $200-300.

Any last minute advise or recommendation?

Advance thanks.

Hi guys I just came back from Vietnam last Friday night. Was there for 7 days 6 nights with 2 other friends. Loving the country !

Arrived at Ho Chi Minh and made our way up.
Ho Chi Minh -> Hoi An -> Da Nang -> Hanoi -> Halong Bay -> Hanoi

Air Ticket was $150, brought $400 worth of Vietnam dongs and still have leftovers when i came back ! Haggle everything there, those tours will and most probably rip u off.

Plan to go back there to visit Da Nang beaches and trekking in Sapa, then made my way west to Laos for a much longer period than 1 week.

Nice.. Planning to go Sapa early next year, hopefully can get to see snowing up there!:D

u can actually go muine and choose. no need pre-book. a whole stretch of resort u can choose.

HCMC can go cuchi tunnel and mekong delta tour. I would strongly recommend the war remnants museum.

When i was there, there seem to be alot of couples getting married. they can be found at some museum and the notre dame church. its probably weird but i think its nice to capture the wedding photos from another angle. (not the designated photographer they hire)

budget hostel will be in bui vien street and pham ngu lao.

head out to dalat or mui ne if you think 5 days of HCMC is too much.
