met any problem at the custom? or how to avoid them questioning?

helping a friend to get a bag in SG to bring over.

If it's 1 or 2 bag, shouldn't be a problem. I've tried bringing in branded stuff before. At most say it's your buy at sg airport..

better to keep the wrapping or remove everything? receipt?

I don't see why it should be a problem keeping the wrapper if it's just 1/2 bag. Just walk act blur can liao.

I think book online more expensive? I have enquired alot of cruises via travel agencies, direct cruise companies and also hotel/hostels and found these 2 are the cheapest:

1. B&B hanoi hostel
2. Hanoi hostel

End up i booked with B&B Hanoi hostel since i am staying there.

One of the members posted his cruise trip in this thread. He stayed at Deluxe cruise (higher class) cruise while I stayed in Superior cruise, (lower class).

In comparism I can see his cruise is bigger, has bigger and nicer room and better food (buffet). My cruise is smaller, room is smaller and food are at set menu.

I am on budget and thus stayed in superior cruise (Fantasea Cruise). So far room is clean, food is nice and everything is ok.

I think now is off peak season and the price should be cheaper.

can share your source? prices of data cards in 2014 was cheap. not more than 10 usd per week.

hey going to hanoi for a week in april. anybody got sample itinerary can share? tentatively will go hanoi, halong bay and sapa. but would like to see other people's plans to see if mine is suitable anot.

going alone! and hue and hoi an looks cool. =/ cant decide.

hue is a cultural city, hoi an is famous for it's beaches and their tailors. how long are you staying in hanoi?

for now i have two choice. Sapa,halong bay and Hanoi. or Hue, Hoi An and Hanoi.

i was leaning towards the first one but i read that sapa is not as nice in april so i am rethinking. and i havent walked in years (last time is 5yrs ago route march in army). so i dunno will i die walking in sapa anot. hahaha

Will be there with one Viet girl so ktv and brining girl back out of the question already.
for food and other entertainment Shld be enough?

ahhhh..... it's typical for viet girl to bring friends along... for the free food and free entertainment.. thankfully, hcm is pretty cheap.. unless your every meal is in dong khoi area.. else, you should be safe.

high end clubbing is surprising ex there.. so also depends where you go..

family ktv such as Kingdom KTV in D5 and D1.. still affordable by Singapore standard. it really depends where she bring you go..

leaning towards climbing the fansipan mt in maybe 2-3 days? but i am travelling solo. anybody got any trust worthy tour guide or agency to recommend?

guess i gonna take the chance and trek with some strangers but shld be fun!

When I go hcm to meet my viet girl, everyday I only target $100 all in
e.g. breakfast at hotel, lunch is tim sum at D5 about S$20+ for 2, around S$3 一笼
teabreak is coffee or KFC snack then dinner at food court... S$50 got change .. got enough for night market to pickup some Tee or belt
