Hi will be going Vietnam alone in May 28. Here is my trip:

Hanoi -> SAPA -> HA Long Bay -> Nha Trang -> Dalat -> Mui En -> Ho Chi Min for 2 weeks any advice for me? like where do i get sim card?

Get the Sim card from the airport. Try get the Mobifone sim card with 600MB of high speed internet access. Its the best plan if you rely on data heavily. Once u finish the 600mb, u can get a top up card and reload high speed 600mb data!

No wifi bro. How many hours is your transit? If u have more than 3 hours, u can cheong to city center and back. Take bus 152! its abt 25 mins ride at most to Benh Thanh

Hi jpooling.. so easy to go there from airport take taxi go binh than market...then from there seasrch for a hotel.. or book ar agoda.. much cheaper.. from hotels nearby got travel agencies then can book some places u interested .. cheaper

airport have wifi but most of the time not working.. inside sell food but confirm can use dong although their prices show USD

I paid vnd149 for my vinaphone SIM. It's 600 mb too with 8 mins intl call n 70 mins local. Bought it cos of its price n local calls.

There are about 3 or 4 stores to the left once you step out into the arrival hall past the customs check. Very easy to find n compare as they have the various plans printed out in a chart. In fact if you only need data n no calls, is like vnd 100+ for 2 gb iirc.

For vnd, confirmed the rates in hcm better than sg. Just change enough to pay for cab/bus, n maybe drinks. Suggest you buy the SIM at the airport too.
