You going to spend just 2 days 1 night in Sapa? A bit too rushed. 2 nights in Sapa will be better ( 1 of the nights in a Hmong village).

Also, I would suggest doing Sapa last instead of first. You will have to hike up and down some muddy and slippery slopes, and there's a chance you could slip and hurt yourself. Putting Sapa last will prevent this injury from spoiling the rest of your trip.

This happened to me. I slipped while hiking down a wet slippery slope and hurt my ankle on the last day and last hike of my trip. I limped around for the rest of the day, went back to Hanoi and flew back home the next day.

My itinerary is different . My express bus departs hanoi at 7am and will arrive in sapa at 1pm.The return trip will depart sapa at 430pm and arrive in hanoi at 1030 to 11pm. Do you think i shoud stay longer in sapa? Intilally, i intended to visit hanoi and sapa for 4d3n this week but I decided to postpone the trip cause i will be spending more time travelling and rushing than enjoying the scenery. What is the point of paying money for holiday when you spend so much time on the bus, plane or sleeping inside hotel room?

Do you know of any 2d1n luxury cruise tour in halong bay? I will be going in december so I prefer the cabin to have heater. Halong Bay is a nice place so i plan to go again during winter.

Day 1 : Arrive Hanoi. Rest
Day2 :Sapa
Day3:Sapa
Day4 : Halong Bay
Day 5: Halong Bay
Day 6: Perfume Pagoda
Day 7: Return to sg

Jetstar cheapest this year:
56sgd , booked this promo in 1st club sales, travel in mar, fri to sun ...
then their 2nd and 3rd club sales (few days back) is 72sgd

their public sales abt 76sgd
average promo price is abt 70+ to 90+ would be a good price
so far have booked jetstar 33 - 39sgd two way nett few years back ...

sq cheapest to ho chi minh is 197sgd two way nett taxes in ...

jetstar no booking fees, can pay sam or singpost within 48hours ...
tiger have 5sgd axs fees

else can try vietjet, think should be about 120sgd two way nett ...
also budget airline ...
so far normally would fly jetstar to hcm ...
would book again if their promo is abt 70+ sgd two way nett wit taxes

No, I didn't visit.

My Sapa is considered 2D1N but I took overnite train. I reached there 6.30am in the morning so I have whole day in Day 1 and I took the nite train at 10.00pm the next day.

I took the sleeper train - 4 in a cabin (just nice for us as we have 4 pax).

Can I check which train you took? Livitrans or?
