Need some help here.. I use Zhone modem bridge mode to my DIR 855 gigabit router which is on the latest firmware. I am using Cat 6 LAN cables for all my computers and they are all 2 meters only. The max speed I can reach is around 280mbps even if ViewQwest provisions my profile to 500mbps. When connecting directly to Zhone router, I can reach 500mpbs but when bridging to my DIR 855 router, max speed is 280mbps. I tried factory resetting my router and also replaced it with another similar router, result is still the same. Does the problem lies with my router?

Thanks in advance.

maybe your DIR-855 throughput is not high enough to support, only max out ~280Mbps?

@ viewqwest,

I've always wondered why people like to place services which are meant to provide resiliency on the same (or very close) server, subnet, network, rack, building, etc.

This is a case in point, I guess. Perhaps, consider separating them?
And it's down again :-/

Hi ahlee,

Hmmm i'm sorry to hear this.

Would be very happy to help! Could you PM me your NRIC? Will take a look at your cases and get someone to make sure that there isn't something else at work here.

Thanks! Just PM-ed you my account ID.

Internet is still intermittent. Pages need to be refreshed several times to load. Video as well. Appears to be a DNS issue, but i'm just clutching at straws here.

My twitch never had this lag issue until the last two nights.
It keeps lagging when watching live stream.

Any idea what's wrong? VQ just helped install the Asus router recently...

Hi whiteflag,

There was an outage on the network last night starting at aproximately 6:20pm and lasting until around 9:30pm. Our engineers have reported that the network is now back to normal - if you're still experiencing frequent disconnects or slow loading websites please do contact NOC at noc@viewqwest.com or 6723 8100 (option 3) - the hotlines were quite tied up last night but should be better today :)

Oh shoot. Just submitted an application for 300/24 months and this is what I read in the forums.

Hopefully this is a one-time affair and not a recurring one, or else I would bang my head for the next 24 months. :spin:

To be fair, this is my first encounter. I am on VQ for almost 7-8 months now.

Same here.

Have a couple of businesses and company line all on VQ.

I use VQ at home as well. So far response and turn around has been good.

But probably need to invest in a SMS system to alert customers (not for advertising!) rather than facebook / forum update / email - as not many of us have dual redundancy lines.
