Are we being affected by the cable maintenance too? No idea if Malaysians are using the same routing as us.

We have routed traffic off that cable system. There should be minimal difference if any.

Who says anything about not refusing to accept.

There was a valid question to the company that wasn't answered by VQ CS. So I brought it here.

In terms of the comment go home- unbelievably offensive.

If you're are accepting, why are you wasting your time here debating why are locals and EPs treated differently?

And, you find it "excessive" proclaiming you accepted the T&Cs. Not happy, sign else where.

Lastly, CS are not trained in answering T&Cs which are legally approved. If you want proper answer, learn to find the direct channel instead of blasting the VQ CS instead.

Sadly, Starhub and SP Power's deposits are also not "in line" with the risk.

As for uneducated, I'm not the one trying to throw my weight around, thinking that by calling something "excessive" we will all kowtow to you and kiss your glorious posterior.

I never thought that at all. Cool story though.

All that's happened, is you've become offended by my question- and taken the opportunity to go on a xenophobic, derogatory rant.

You've clearly got some underlying issue with foreigners, and can't wait for an excuse to tell us to 'go home' if we ask any questions.

You seem like a very bitter, un-educated, not very well travelled individual.. Borderline racist.

Here are some basic facts that I think even someone as uneducated, arrogant and "feeling self-entitled" as you can understand:

Yes. Because asking a question is self-entitled.

Or is that still too complicated for you? If yes, please go raise your complaint to the Prime Minister since you obviously feel that you are being "cheated" despite not paying the same dues as others.

What a ridiculous person you are.
Ranting and raving on like a little school-girl because someone has an opinion on a companies policy.
You must be one of those people who just follow orders- never ask any questions, does what he's told. Perfect for companies to take advantage of. Jackpot.

Oh, I am willing to bet I am far better educated and well-travelled than you are. Which is why I know that having a large deposit for foreigners for various services is normal everywhere.

Yes Shadey..

Because the simpleton and xenophobic response of "go home" when a foreigner asks a question, really represents the words of man who's educated and well travelled.

I'm sure...

Did you go to the same school as Shadey?

Guys this is really getting off-topic and turning a little nasty...

Please, let's return to talking about fiber broadband :)

Speaking of which! Has anyone tried to download a game off Steam lately? You might be pleasantly surprised :D

More than happy to Nic.

Anyone can read back and see it was these 2 Mensa graduates taking it off topic and getting personal.

Yup, I did just this morning. Download failed 3 times before it finally went through.

My point remains though. I find $400 slightly excessive.

The amount of security deposits should only cover the cost of the modem, and exposure arrears. Which I doubt add up to $400. Anything more- and it starts to look to any informed customer like 'gouging'...
Which to me, to be completely honest, it does (slightly)

Regards

Just want to shear some light and create awareness.
