Lousy as it cost more for less.
Regardless of Pru, AIA, AXA whatsoever, this are LI companies while Sompo and AIG are GI companies.

There isn't any appearent reasons why PA plans from LIs are generally pricey compared to those with GI companies.
For profits maybe.

Not many people are aware that GI companies provides better PA plans and LI companies are still seeing demand, hence they just choose to remain status quo with their PA pdts, I guess.

GI companies provide better coverage and yes their customer services lines are not crowded.

What are some of the GI companies? I'm not sure of them. I'm interested in getting personal accident for myself.

Check AIG's solitare and Sompo's PAStar.
Do a side by side comparison with those frm Life insurer's (if you can easily understand the bochures).
You'll see the difference.

Should I get a PA plan? Considering I am working in a Startup that don't have any employee benefits?

TCM/Chiro/Physio

Anyone had issues claiming for chiro, physio or TCM? I understand that Chiro will need doctor referral but if you suffer an injury, can you just directly go to see a physio or TCM?

Looking closely at GE AccidentCare Plus II as well as AXA Smart Protect+ for their lower premiums, relative to the therapy sub-limit which is what I will probably be using the most for these plans.

Generally physio/tcm no need referral. just need a memo stating the reason for treatment.

If no employee benefits, most importantly is having a shield plan, then can consider if want additional PA coverage.
