Visiting KL during Deepavali weekend

I have decided to visit KL during the Deepavali weekend this month.

The attractions that I want to visit are the Batu caves, Petronas towers and merdeka Square.

I am however wondering if many of the attractions would be closed.

Petronas Towers are closed on Monday. [SOURCE]

If you are planning to visit on other days, I strongly recommend you booked the tickets in advance. There are limited slots per hour so you may reach there and find the next available slot a few hours later.

Merdeka Square is just a public place so I dun think there's an opening or closing hours.

Same for Batu Caves but of cos you can expect it to be more crowded on PH. I recommend taking the Dark Cave tour (about halfway up) It's a guided tour and cost RM33 but it was a nice experience (but skip if walking in dark and stuffy place is not your thing)

Expect Batu Caves to be very crowded during the Deepavali period. The Murugan Temple there is the centre of festivities. You may need to make arrangements, like setting off early on the Komuter.

Thanks for all the replies. I also noticed that the Scoot flight back to Singapore on Monday night is horribly expensive, compared to the Monday midnight flight. But I dun wanna stay around the KL airport with nothing to do either

Long weekend, prepare to jam few hrs if take coach back.

During the national day super long weekend, I think the same as you. Sunday 3am+ reach woodland 9am+ This long weekend shouldn't be that worst, just a reminder.

Better for TS to fly then. Firefly does the Subang-Seletar route.
Or stick to the coach. At least it is possible to sleep on the coach if it jams.
Or TS can opt to visit Ayuthaya instead.

Can try Ipoh and Penang flight, both are not far from KL.
PS: after checked, both places more ex. Return KL ticket around $200 still bad timing, take coach bah.

My 1st day,Saturday 26th October 19, I plan to squeeze Batu caves, Petronas Tower, Merdeka Square and Petalin Market together.

I have not made my plan yet for Sunday.

achievable~ batu cave 1hr enough, just stay a distance from the monkey, got monkey snatch tourist handbag before~ petalin market to me is quite disappointing, mayb u can spend 1hr to eat the street satay steamboat there~

The train ride from KL Sentral to the Batu Caves takes half an hour. Not sure if there will be crowds on the train or heading up to the cave, since Deepavali is on the next day. In any case, the Caves should not take you all of the morning.
Petaling Street is an evening activity. You have lots of time.

Of course~ I took grab from bukit bintang to Batu caves only rm20~ even though I drove up, I park my car at the Airbnb residences and rely on grab~ 3 adults & 2 kids they won't reject unlike Sg~ gave them rm2 tips they happy like bird~

I may reach KL at 10 am. Probably I will do an early check in, get to Batu Caves, the Petronas towers and menara tower, then Merdeka Square and Petalin Market.

What about clubbing? Is Zouk KL worth visiting?

Feasible. Maybe 20 min in the best conditions. But I suspect the train will get you there on time.

Excluding the journey to and from the Caves, 1 hour was not enough for me. There are steps to climb and descend. Take a good look at the photos.
