this phone is actually pretty legit
if i didn't get the iqoo 9 pro, i would have ordered this from CN
You can always sell it off bro. Mobilehardware etc but get a quote first. When I sold off mine it was still quite new so I did not lose much.

If all fails then i would sell it and get the Vivo X Note

anyone got this?
sg can play store Google play and play netflix in uhd?

there literally was a post above that said no to a few things.

The world of China imported phones and using China ROM is vast and requires your own risk-taking and experimentation because each manufacturer (heck, even each phone) may perform differently.

Confirmed to be working for all China imported phones on China ROM except Huawei:
- Google play services aka GMS. This allows you to add a Google account into your system and install essentials like Play Store. But you can only do this after an initial set up so you won't be able to restore any Google Drive backups.
- Most, if not all apps. The Play Store is not as regulated as Apple App Store so anything goes. Else, installing APK will work too.

Iffy/Need to see your luck/Heavily dependent on brand/model;
- Google Pay (because it's tied to security). Youi
- Banking apps (same reason as Pay)
- Widevine DRM Level. Dependent if you get L1 or L3. L3 means no HD content on Netflix and Amazon Prime.
- Notifications. China ROMs are very lenient on their own apps like system apps and wechat, weibo etc but anything else usually gets gimped heavily in the name of "battery optimisation" so you have to dig around your power/battery and notification settings to see what can be tuned.

So yes you have to get your phone knowing the above risks. Nothing that will render the phone completely useless in SG although I think banking apps quite important la/

I got this.
it's slightly larger than a s22 but holds much better as the edge not so curved.
only a bit heavy but I come from a 160 gram phone. it's also slightly wider reminiscent of when phones are fatter and not longer.

display wise. nothing to say. top notch and can very be very bright. spam movie on it in bed quite shiok.

camera v good. same as x70 standard.

software is a mix bag. I use Samsung so familiar with one UI. so this is a bit unfamilar but getting to it. eg in Samsung want scan qr code can do so from camera app but this one, as I discovered need to open another built in qr app.
but google very easy to install.
ok with android auto
google pay ok.
bank apps ok
no delay with whatspps telegram notification.
battery not bad. I dun on 2k auto refresh rate morning use till now 4pm left 82 percent... Whatsapp, scroll forums , chk stocks , bank apps etc. can last full day no battery anxiety.

if u dun like Sammie, this can be an alternative to a larger phone.

HI cosycactus, just curious, I just got my X Note a week ago and I was busy transferring from Samsung Note 20 Ultra to X Note. I am facing an issue right now. I am trying to create a Whatsapp chat shortcut but no success. Do you have such issue? And also do you happen to know anyone who can solve such issues in SG? Thank you. Much appreciated.

No global ROM? Banking apps and Google drive backup all GG?
OriginOS China Rom in built got support for google services
Its a toggle in accounts under settings
Just turn it on and go 3rd party app stores to download your google play store
After that just download all the other google apps you need from google play store

Keen in this phone but worry about goggle drive and the Google support global version has. Later nfc not working, bank card cannot add, cannot use other bank apps etc

Can anyone confirm it will work?

Works la.
I also use hauwei mate 10 before. No problem with Google.
Is the problem u?
U install Gmail from the Vivo store then it will auto install framework.
Everything from banks to Google drive to Google photo works. Sing pass, healthub, ikbr all work.

This phone not bad. Screen is a bit wider than Ur normal phone.
Camera very good.
Charging dn fast.

Only screen doesn't match Samsung s or note series but still a good screen.
I see price drop to slightly above 1 k for 515 gig price is v good.
But heard a 8 gen 1 plus coming

Not sure if they will launch 8+ Gen 1 for the Note
Might have given it up altogether because they relaunched the Fold in 8+Gen 1 but not the Note although both 8Gen1 models were launched together back then
