I'm inclined to get the X200 Pro Malaysian set as it has Global rom. Such a waste the Ultra wasn't launched globally

received my x200 ultra last night

the camera is really beastly. Absolutely outclasses my IP16PM.
I sent some photos to friends AB Test using Vivo's vivid mode, it was a complete washout for the IP. The photos from the Vivo looks like came from an actual camera.

initital impressions. I'm not a native mandarin speaker (but i can fluently scold in hokkien, tee hee)

Software
1. Debloating of the phone was easy and setting up google services was easy.
2. Set and using all the google apps as default, from dialer, messages, calendar etc etc. no problem with syncing, appeared instantly.
3. Able to add to google wallet. will try out as payment and transport card soon and then update this post.
4. Some menu's are still in mandarin, esp their native apps like the theme store and parts of the camera tutorials.
5. The UI is smooth and fluid, i don't notice the microstutters that were present on OneUI.
6. The settings are easy to customise and implement, not convoluted and half-assed like hyperos
7. I was worried that I wouldn't like Origin OS but so far, compared to color OS, i have no complaints. The functions I want are present e.g double tap to lock.

Hardware
1. Camera is king. still learning how to use it properly.
2. Despite the massive camera bump, the phone feels pretty evenly balanced and lighter than my 16PM, even in my baby hands.
3. Haptics are decent, Pixel 9 still godly.
4. Speakers are ok. has sound (hur hur)
5. Screen is fantastic. nice and bright and goes dim well.
6. I do notice that wifi is a bit slower compared to my 16pm, doesnt seem to be able to connect to Wifi 6E. Still looking into this and will update.

i've not played games yet so i can't test the heat yet.

Overall i can tell i already like it much more than the xiaomi 15 ultra.

Waiting for the TGSP from Taobao to arrive then i'll slap on the aramid magsafe case i have. using the silicone case that came with the phone.

GOTCH BUFFET BOH !?

lol xiaomi 15 , 14 ultra is and are decent, if you know the way to take photos, the light etc...

which btw, the youtube ive shared before [ ]

will help you make full use of the camera system in vivo and other utlras.

as for :

Software

3. Able to add to google wallet. will try out as payment and transport card soon and then update this post.
--> just take note of the earlier UOB method

4. Some menu's are still in mandarin, esp their native apps like the theme store and parts of the camera tutorials.
--> the youtube ive shared is sufficient man haha

5. The UI is smooth and fluid, i don't notice the microstutters that were present on OneUI.
--> tweak further with the Developer Options and play around the Scale options

6. The settings are easy to customise and implement, not convoluted and half-assed like hyperos
--> ok lah, but here the launcher you want cant be used, at least without disabling he swipe up gestures.... aka i cannot use niagra falls , fully as swiping up defaults to its vivo's own stock launcher

7. I was worried that I wouldn't like Origin OS but so far, compared to color OS, i have no complaints. The functions I want are present e.g double tap to lock.
--> think the gmail notfications are fixed in the recent builds or testing firmwares

Hardware
1. Camera is king. still learning how to use it properly.
--> take notes from the youtube, really, it will save you alot of headaches.... and always use hi-res mode whenever possible

2. Despite the massive camera bump, the phone feels pretty evenly balanced and lighter than my 16PM, even in my baby hands.
--> fellow apple user as well eh

6. I do notice that wifi is a bit slower compared to my 16pm, doesnt seem to be able to connect to Wifi 6E. Still looking into this and will update.
--> its gonna use wifi 7 which covers 6e specs,

when you do a speed test, if it goes beyond 1.2gbps its already 6e specs

Curious though, have you managed to get the vivo easyshare to work on iphone ? was there a [ Dual link ] present ?

thanks for that, i've done most of what you mentioned.

for easy share, no dual link present, on the vivo it said to make sure that easy share is ver 5.2.3? the one on ios appstore is only version 4.8.8, maybe thats why no dual link

on the point abt wifi, it just refuses to connect to the 6ghz band, not sure why.

also sorry, no buffet, broke liao

Thought I was the only one with dual link not present

Thanks for the response

As for 6hz
what router or access point ?

Although slightly off topic here and should be in bandwidth thread

I would guess your channel isn't suitable

E.g when my AP set to 100 channel or 108

My wife's old oppo cannot get to 5ghz

Changing to 64 dfs channel resolved it

So play around your channel settings

6ghz is even more picky as it overlaps the restricted dfs channels
