To X200 ultra owners:
Have you removed the default screen protector? Is it tempered glass material or just plastic?

Is it still worthwhile to get x200 or x200 pro from Malaysia, now that x300 is gonna be released soon?

I think not worth it unless it's at a super good discounted price.
Please don't ever pay the full RRP price for X200 pro when the X300 series is this close to being announced and released.

yes yes yesm, im doing the UOB and Singpass first... Google wallet... never used it before .... so will skip that for those more important ones
Hi. Can I check if you have any problem using UOB TMRW with your x200 ultra? I'm having problem with the "scan to pay" function. Camera opens but no reaction when pointing at the QR code. Other functions of the UOB app are ok. I've allowed all the permissions required by UOB app, accept "Access the list of installed apps". Don't know what else to do ...

yes, the cameras seem not to focus too well, if theres slight dirt or reflection,

usually will snap a 50mp sepcifically and then save it to photos, then scan from photos via the app.

A small price to pay for outstanding video and camera performance.

Thanks for your reply. Sounds quite troublesome, although it's a workaround method. I wonder if it's just problem with UOB app. If this is a common problem with the camera, then how to use Alipay and WeChat in China, where payments are by scanning QR codes?
To other people with other bank apps: do you have the same problem?

plastic. Removed it after it got scratches. Tempered glass doesn't really work well for the fingerprint reader. best is to stick with film unless anyone here have a recommendation for tempered glass.

not sure if i am the only one but the x200 ultra glass is prone to scratches? Removed the default screen protector, wiped with microfiber cloth and found a small scratch on the screen before pasting a new protector

Maybe the scratch is with the film protector?

Did you see the scratch on the screen protector before you removed it? It will be weird to have scratch on the actual glass, but not the protector. Unless your microfiber cloth caused it. Anyways, I'm still using the default screen protector.

Posted this on the x300 pro forum / thread.

sharing some new insights

just sharing as vivo x200 u user,

Another point to make , for those holding apple devices and in iCloud eco system , ive managed to find this [ solution to a weird bug or problem ]

1) photos taken in vivo can be stored and saved to google photos app. Get the 100gb is enough, not too costly nor too little.

2) Photos can then be downloaded/ saved to device, into the iPhone / iPad, via google photos app.

[ Do remember to DISABLE Sync, in the iOS google photos app ], theres a reason for this after ive listed my findings and solution

just select the dates , months or all, from google photos app in iOS, and select [ Save to Device ]

3) now, opening up the iOS Gallery App, and let it sync.

4) after confirming, its on iCloud [ verify it not only by Photos on macOS, but also via the desktop / laptop/ computer icloud.com on web browser ]

5) [ Critical ] --> to free up your vivo / android space AND google cloud
[ reason : those like me, already have icloud family and 2tb etc ]

one must, delete, ONLY via, google photos on the desktop / laptop/ computer icloud.com on web browser

5b ) DO NOT, remove those photos, FROM iOS's google photos, not even the [review changes ]

Heres where the point 2 comes to play

- Disabling Sync for iOS google photos app, will disable and changes made, ON the iOS devices

- this allows the icloud / Gallery app to be fully functional and sync your photos.

- ignore, the review changes, on the iOS google photos app, as its just capturing, what data is from the main google cloud, and does not download to your phone and eat up space.

- ive tested, by doing the [ review changes, and deleting ] photos from google app , which resulted me in a NEAR mental breakdown and heart attack, :s22::s22:, as ios will take it that i want to remove those from icloud as well [ weird ? yes, its been that way, since both companies cannot program ]

thankfully, icloud can be restored and most of my overseas trip important photos are kept.

now those amoungst the technical, will say, why not just download the zip folders, in batches from google photos via desktop and upload to icloud or photos app on macos ?

--> reason 1 : icloud via the web browser on desktop, doesnt include videos upload.

reason 2: zip folders, for some strange reason, goolge does not provide a exif data upon the download, which ive tested . It only shows the date that it was downloaded, and no other meta data

reason 3 : why not direct transfer from phone [ vivo ] to laptop [ macbook ] --> too much work to keep track when you're traveling, and if theres corruption, there might be a chance that it affects the original photos taken on x200 u

sharing this , incase folks eyeing for vivo's camera system are fearful of stepping out from apple's eco,

and this serves me as a point of reference.

and some of the errors ive made , cant be recovered, however just glad i could at least save some of the more important stuff....

some reference for the x200u during my trip
