Does china set X60 pro plus have full working google services?
Like google location history, google pay, banking / tracetogether / singpass all working, etc?

Can google backup and sync of phone work?

my mi 10 ultra though GMS all work, google 1 cannot backup my phone and no location history.
all else works fins.

Backup phone via Google quite subjective. Do you mean the photos, Google drive or anything stored via Google not back up?

So far I see my photos, drive, keep all data still there.

Don't quite use location history. Do you mean if you use Google map to search for MBS using Mi ultra, then when you check history, MBS not showing up?

The function is google backup, it will backup your entire phone.
so next time when you change phone, you can restore the entire phone too!

I guess it'll be missing if it's not an official google rom

i don't think you will have the option on the x60+ sideloaded GMS.

even if you have, there will be error, like cannot backup.
it happens to my mi 10 ultra on GMS as well.

For Location History try this:

Use the Google Maps app
  1. On your Android device, open the Google Maps app .
  2. Tap your profile picture or initial at the top right.
  3. Tap Settings
  4. Tap Personal Content
  5. Scroll to Location settings
  6. Look for Location History
  7. It'll probably say Location History is OFF and no way to turn it on.

On my global set Vivo X50 Pro , under Settings Menu, at the very bottom, can see Google , and Accounts & Sync.

Go inside, and can see the google account which the entire phone backup will be made periodically. And also list the apps which will make the backup to google too.

Is this the same as in the CN set Vivo x60 pro+ ?

i think this is only true for Global Rom.. CN Rom with GMS enabled will not have these working AFAIK.

hmmm, means that if you can see google account , and sync at the bottom of the Menu , (same as my global x50 pro ) , that means your CN set vivo x60 pro+ can do backup of your phone fully into google drive.

and also inclusive of your third party apps which also use google drive to backup.

So i guess from your feedback, backup to google account is totally ok.

Just that for google maps, then location history not workable.

One last thing if you dont mind to check please...
google maps, can you view your bookmarks / saved places ?

And no problems for SG banking (local and international banks such as citi, scb) and government apps right ?

thanks a lot !

Google maps - if i got it correct, i can see places i bookmark (mark as a flag logo) Home, work and Recent places i browsed

SG banking i tried DBS, UOB and citi. No issues) Government app like Singpass, parents gateway and tracetogether all ok.

i think most people highlighter google pay issue. i have not setup and try. perhaps after i tried, i will update again

So far, im not able to clone whatsapp, telegram. Got to install 3rd party app then can. Cant detect 5G or (if this phone can detect wifi6 signal?) as i cant see the wifi6 at status bar. Some of my games i cant do multi screen where my XM mi 10 pro can.

As for single speaker, still can make do. I havent try much on the camera yet. But would highlight the cons first. This is still my 2nd day using it so still exploring.

Thanks for your confirmation and reply on the maps and banking apps.

As for whatsapp, if i'm not wrong, you can do a prior backup to your google account / drive from your old phone, then when you install into your new phone, can restore using your google account and your whatsapp msgs should all be intact.

Seems like vivo CN sets, although have to enable GMS framework , it is more accessible and less restrictions compared to xiaomi CN roms.

Question on the OS , how do you like the Origin OS ? and do you feel it as being relevant to our outside of CN usage ? Cos if i'm not wrong it is designed best to utiliise and maximise synergy and accessibility of their CN apps and connectivity.

Am aware that there's a function to click to revert to original android old OS layout style.
Is this something that you always have to click on after reboot ? ie. the Phone reverts to Origin OS by default whenever reboot or OTA updates perhaps ?

After using the x50 pro as my first Vivo, i must say i'm pretty happy with the OS and how it works for my usage. never experienced bugs or problems like MIUI global / CN roms.
Keen to stay on with Vivo , to their x60 pro plus , but seems like we are not getting the pro plus models in SG and Thailand for now....

so far only see the pro plus models released in MY and India.

Ya, i have no problem import my W.A from old to new phone. Perhaps encounter issues on the clone W.A app from old to new most like it.

There is a funciton call Defromer which you can long press home screen if at the original android layout, then toggle to the new layout (the icon looks like ipod). After that, if you want to toggle back, just click the deformer icon again. But i realised one of my folders apps got unsorted after i done that. Not sure whats wrong.

Problem i had with MIUI is my contacts will suddenly go blank and need a reboot. Notifications dont come in as usual as well.
