Anyone know how long will parcel from vpost reach sg after the parcel leave the USA warehouse?

I tried contacting vpost, but all they can give are robotic answers - "per stated on our website, you will receive within 5 to 8 working days after receipt of payment". :frus::s39:

But that does not answer my question of "how long does it take for the parcel to reach sg?"

Comgateway/borderlinx/vpost allows me to declare the value of my goods?

CGW/Vpost (i didnt use borderlinx before) : If your goods doesn't have receipt revealing the value of the goods then you need to self declare. They will open up your package and check.

is it cheaper to have a friend in US mail my goods over?
the state taxes 5%-13% inurred delivering to yoru friend may cost more than the item forwarder's shipping.

Only good with friend is when you have many big-boxed parcels, and he can compact pack-n-ship/bring them over.

anyone knows how strict are Vpost/CGW on shipping aerosol cans like hair sprays / foams?

tempted to try but worried that the potential problems might overwrite the cost-savings. :(

Hi guys would like to check.for hsg,the 20% discount on shipping is a further 10% off after the initial 10% discount has been applied, or a straight up 20% from the shipping fees?

Hi I just wanna check with you guys who've bought laptops or other items costing more than 1k.

I've recently bought 2 laptops and some apparels consisting of a total of 3.2k sgd and I understand that there's a need to pay tax. But who do we pay it to? The forwarder or the govt upon arrival? And is it possible to under declare?

The tax and tariff is costing me like 400 sgd. I can't believe how much they're charging so I'm just checking with fellow edmwers here. Thanks alot

Forwarder's provider (DHL / Fedex etc) will contact you to make payment. Tax is 7% GST on total amount including shipping fees and insurance. You must make payment prior to shipment release.

You can ship the apparel separately if it is under SGD 400 including shipping and insurance to avoid the 7% GST.

what is the differences between merchants with fulfillment by amazon and not? (i realise for watches would be the warranty, but then again casio watches warranty is limited within country of purchase. non fulfillment merchants are slightly cheaper and do not have the original warranty provided even though they provide their own "warranty") does anyone have experience buying from non fulfilled merchants?

given that merchants that charges shipping cost (although its within US), doesnt that mean that they will not anyhow use big box. hence if we uses forwarders like CGW, wont that benefit us?
