My LG TV is a Smart TV, but eventually all the apps start to expire and not renewed and then got removed after software update. Now my LG Smart TV no more 3D app to play with, in-built YouTube app also super laggy, entire experience is getting more and more lousy.

That's why I agree with you. Buying TV should first and foremost consider the picture quality. The smart feature may actually make buyers feel dumb ... 'cos kena play out by the TV manufacturer.
