I would encourage you to reach out to the Adcom of those schools you have shortlisted and speak to them regarding your profile and what could be done better to make you an ideal candidate for them. If possible, do consider having a mentor for application (someone who can guide you on the essay and provide you feedback to change). Different schools focus on different aspect of their candidates hence having someone who went through the US school application to guide you would definitely make your process smoother.

One thing to note, having a business degree may not guarantee your stay in US upon graduation. I am speaking based on my experience of working and living in the US. Companies are not very willing to sponsor for H1B/H1B1 unless you have skills that are in demand. I am speaking based on my current experience of working and living in the US. Hence do consider your ROI before making this investment.

Maybe Canada is a better place for you considering their point system immigration.

Was fiddling through the Canadian points system calculator. Apparently if you have a Masters degree, the points jump is quite alot (Goes up to almost 470 ish). Puts u in the loop to get an invite.

U mentioned Imperial? From what I know, to gain admission to this prestigious uni for medicine, competition is stiff . your A level result must be all straight As or all As and a B grade at most.

There are 17 medical schools in Canada. Only some take unsponsored international students. Most have contracts with other countries to train candidates that the country sponsors and covers the cost of the education.

The few that do take unattached international applicants may only take one per year and that is contingent on space.

For instance, Memorial in NF & L has 6 seats for international students. $30,000 per year plus living expenses.

There are about 5 total seats available in Quebec medical schools. Laval, Sherbrooke, Montreal are French and McGill is English. All charge about $30,000 per year plus living expenses.

U of T takes 1 or 2 international students per year. $80,000 per year plus living expenses.

UBC, Calgary, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Western, Ottawa, and Northern Ontario do not accept international applicants. Dalhousie only accepts contracted applicants.

Queens, McMaster do accept international applicants.
