hey dudes what do you prime your metal models with before painting? I experimented a while ago by using black spray paint on my daemon prince but the paint just chips away as i rub my finger against it.

Try using Tamiya Matt Black, cant remember which no. Pray liao let it sun for awhile to dry.
And also try not to rub against it, maybe your coat is not thick enough or too thin.

nice offer there, just ordered a box of SMs. From what they said in the newsletter, games-workshop is jacking up prices of their minis?

GW traditionally increase their prices at least once a year. They will do it in batches. Some items will increase this year, those that do not have their prices increase will do so at the next increment.

GW is a confirm plus chop ever increasing expensive hobby!

Took a few pics of my WIP Soul Grinder... used video and saved snapshots from it cuz it seemed to be better than my camera. Anyway here they are;

Still have my semi finished bloodletters(too small for my camera to see the details :( ) and an unpainted daemon prince. Also got Tyranid Hive Tyrant and Battleforce still in sprues, too busy with my exams : \

Yea poison for those lurking around here too :p

Oh Sould grinder is a Chaos Daemon unit, and its also a GW plastic kit so its so called 'cheaper'(still ex) compared to any forgeworld stuff haha.

Many recommend to pin + superglue + epoxy(green stuff) metal models(plastic-metal or both metal) like how Spindoc described a few pages back. Its not hard to see why as it creates a very very strong bond.

However, since i have no pinning set (i aint got no drill) i am only able to use Krazyglue which i heard is a good superglue. I bought it at Artfriend bras basah for $3( very ex for a super glue :s22: ). So my metal daemon prince is glued with that (score the two surface, moisten abit with water and then put abit of glue and lastly stick & hold it in place as long as you can haha.) But im not very sure how long the bond will last, so far no problems.

hmm, i'm gluing warp spiders, their metal bases are kinda small compared to the slots in the plastic bases if u get what I mean. So i tried using some milliput and krazy glue. Hmm will see how it turns out :) Thanks!

my sergeant for the tactical squad! first time painting human flesh and skin (the head). turns out pretty nice imo.

2 other marines from the tactical squad, not highlighted yet and no backpack (left it out first so it's easier to paint around the body).
