Charge you full cost calculated to where the bus terminal is lor.

Say bus 31. Tampines to toa payoh. You alight at kallang. Forget to tap out
They will treat it as you alight in toa payoh.

It's in the terms of service Liao. You can try to get refund. But I don't think they will entertain you

When you first tap the card to onboard, it will deduct the full amount from the onboard location to the end location terminal.

When you tap the card to alight, it will refund a little bit of amount depends on where you alight.

If you never tap out, there will be no refund at all.
Then what about when tap in was not recorded? Tap out refunds 0, and nothing happens?

If you never tap in, depends on 2 scenerio.

1-Whether the bas driver activate scanning for entry at the exit point
2-or not.

The front of the bas typically will activate both the entry and exit scanning function. The back of the bas typically will activate exit scanning function only.

Assuming people only enter from front of bas and exit from behind.
Driver did not on enable entry scanning function at the back.

Say you did not tap in, if you exit via the back you will hear a loud sound and an error message.
In that case leave exit the bus. GXGX you got a free bas ride.

Assuming people only enter from front of bas and exit from behind.
Driver enable entry scanning function at the back.

Say you did not tap in, if you exit via the back you will be charged from that exit point, to the bas terminal
