Congrats. Actually the Aluminum one will get dented if you hit against any wooden surface. The steel version is harder. Battery life is ok. I charged it full to 100%. Switch on theatre mode and go to sleep. Morning went for a run and wore the watch whole day. At night still have about 48% battery. Which is pretty alright. Charged it again for 45 min before I head to bed.

I use series 1 and then series 6. Lol!

Just place order for 44mm space grey with Cyprus green solo loop and estimate date is 16 - 23 oct. Does the type / colour of the band affect the delivery date?

I used to use the cardiogram app but deleted after some time of using due that the heart rate on complication didn't update regularly and often have to tap on it then it'll update.
ikr. but i generally use it to kickstart the heartrate sensor for workout app. alot of times when i started my run, heartrate data took forever to read(i.e. 1-3 mins) how i make use of cardiogram is i start heartrate reading from it, after 30s, i off it then i start my workout app. then heartrate data is read immediately. thats the only useful-ness of cardiogram

I like the SS version too but can’t justify it costing almost double that of the aluminium, for those who don’t need the cellular function.

The material and the premium build quality make it totally worth it.

Damn weird. Got my graphite stainless 44mm model delivered last night. Set it up and it shows ok. Apple Watch app as aluminium 44mm.

Re paired many times. Even setup as new watch instead of from backup.

Anyone else kena this stupid bug from Apple?

Heard from my friend who's working in Apple that this is a known issue and Apple is aware of it. They are working to resolve it and in the meantime keep your OS up to date.

Perhaps it's more for those who do workouts rather than just monitoring heart rate.

If you don’t need the cellular version, just get the Aluminum. If you need the cellular version, then I think steel is worth it.

(1) Although price of Aluminum and Stainless steel are the same per kg, However you get almost 3 times as much Aluminum as compared to stainless steel per kg
(2) Stainless is much harder and tougher. Hence require more machining time to machine compared to Aluminum

Aluminium is more fragile, so have to be extra careful on knocks and bumps.

Actually if you're buying and manufacturing in quantity, the pricing for the different metals may see very small differences as compared to the large differences in the retail prices of the final product.
My take on it is that it's a means of getting more profit from the steel version yet keeping prices for the al version affordable. So you get twice the profit (ok maybe more) from richer folks vs the cheaper folks :) but you get more sales from the latter.
Basically you are asking the consumer to fork out $1160 for a digital watch that needs charging everyday and may last you 3 years. Then they tell you that you can also have one at $600.
But having said all that, my $600 digital watch is flying in from Zhejiang as we speak :) but it's for my father - it's more for tracking his spO2 and ecg ,and I'm also kind of an apple fanboy
