Collected Midnight Aluminium with Sports Band at Apple Orchard. Unfortunately, they don't allow me to change to Sports Loop. They said "the watch come with this standard packaging. Cannot change." :(

I always have good experiences at Apple Jewel . They allowed me to change from sport band to sport loop, but not the Nike band ! Sad !

I think it really depends on the outlet I guess. I was able to change the default starlight sports band to silver Milanese strap. Basically I was told I can exchange any straps, just do a top up if the strap that I want is different price

They have two variant of Apple Watch stocks in the store. One of which has the label indicating the watch model and type only without indicating the straps which you are free to customise whichever strap you want and the other indicating watch model and type with strap which those are considered prepackage.

My SS Gold with Gold Milanese Loop was also prepackaged but i managed to swap the strap to a Braided Loop at MBS.

I feel Orchard Apple store most rude.

last week I pass by and wanted to go in and check out some new straps. there are some ppl but no queues… they just say “do you want to wait 1 hours to go in and just browse straps?”

MBS store is still my favourite though and not forgetting the 3% cashback.

Yes agree with orchard apple store being the most rude. Felt as though they were rushing me when I had some questions during the collection of my IPhone.
MBS store still the best for me :D

May I know at which outlet you went to?

I had a pleasant experience when I collected the iPad Mini at MBS last month. The retail specialist was polite, did not rush me and asked if I needed any assistance setting up my iPad. When I went up, I was approached by Alina Poh, an Apple Creative asked me if I wanted to join their #TodayAtApple session. She was soft-spoken and polite. At the end of the session, I told her that I enjoyed and I would love to attend another session if the trainer was still the same staff as I felt he was good at delivering the session.

However, my experience at Apple Orchard was meh, I approached a specialist yesterday asking if they can help to check if they have another stock for 45mm. He quickly replied No and walked away. I asked another specialist, and he said no, have to buy online.

My friend decided to ask another Specialist who was stationed at the Apple Watch.

He mentioned that they have limited stocks available. He immediately took out his device to check and said that they only have 41mm in a few colors and 45mm only in Blue while other variants are currently out of stocks. He apologised that the variant that I was interested in was not available. We thanked him for his kind service, and we appreciate that he checked the stock for us instead of giving a closed-ended answer NO.

I guess I will patronise the MBS outlet from now on. Much friendlier service.

apparently mbs and jewel are under the same "mgmt" and orchard is stand alone. ie the sales of mbs affects jewel and vice versa. At least thats what the sales staff at mbs tell me.

Going to the orchard store is like ntuc now... alot of people. Not sure about jewel as i dont stay in the east but MBS has always been pleasant.
