They have two variant of Apple Watch stocks in the store. One of which has the label indicating the watch model and type only without indicating the straps which you are free to customise whichever strap you want and the other indicating watch model and type with strap which those are considered prepackage.

My SS Gold with Gold Milanese Loop was also prepackaged but i managed to swap the strap to a Braided Loop at MBS.

Yes, that is what I was told.

IMO, I have no issue with the customer service across all 3 stores (e.g. friendliness, soft skills etc).

However, in terms of product knowledge (not sure if this falls under customer service also), I typically will do my own research online and most times, I get the sense that I am more knowledgeable than most of the folks serving. There are obviously exceptions but quite rare with the Singapore stores compared to the ones I visited in US. You need to be passionate about the products you're selling to be really in the know. Similar experience when visiting car showroom as well.

In short, I DIY for product knowledge and when I am down at the showroom (be it car, watch, computer), I am already 90% sold and the remaining 10% is really to physically hold and feel the item before committing.

Ok. Then I’ll just whack one online first. #FOMO

My suggestion is always order online first if it'll take some time to be delivered, then at the same time regularly check Apple's site for any available stock, usually around morning. Then once secured to pickup at any of the Apple Stores, the online one can cancel.

When it rains it pours. Last time bought one online. Today suddenly Apple store got stock.
Any idea if it’s possible to change the strap at MBS? I got the Milanese loop but prefer the leather.

You can try asking them, heard some say can, some say cannot.

First thing is whether the strap you want have stock or not. Secondly depends on the one that you order is pre package or flexible option.

Most importantly, talk to them nicely and ask them for help if cannot.
