I used case before on my s6 and it causes corrosion. Apple recommended me not to use any casing cos the casing will trap dirts/ debris causing the watch to corrode.
I read somewhere during my AW7 days, that we're supposed to remove and clean at least once weekly.

Bumper would be much easier to put on and remove, as opposed to a whole case as there's hardly any surface to hold on to the watch while removing the case.

hey, do you mind sharing what are the metrics that are being shown on the cycling? im currently on garmin

i dont have a apple watch, im looking to buy the ultra(still waiting for stocks)

I'm using Strava, it tracks your route, shows your speed, distance, time and elevation.

arh okay nice, im just curious abt what metric they show.

will be ordering online tmr lol

Can check from time-to-time on Apple online or via the app, sometimes stocks will appear.

You can order first and check when stocks are in prior to the delivery, you can cancel the online order.

i check for quite awhile already, i give up monitoring haha, i'll just order it and wait for it to come.

no rush for me cos im can still use my garmin 945.

just that im looking to streamline my running load.

with the apple watch i can just run without my phone to stream music

You can't go wrong with an Apple Watch, even the regular ones. I've usually don't listen music when I'm cycling, just monitoring speed, distance and total cycling time.

Oh yah, your heart rate is also shown.

i would guess apple has come a long way in terms of sports metric, the last apple watch i was using was the first version of apple watch very basic stuff.

i gave up on garmin after ultra is announced, up till today, garmin is still using sort of like a plug in charger.

cycling is my least concern because i have a head unit on my bike. more of a running, wanna streamline my load, so i dont have to carry phone and wallets when i go running when i can just apple pay easily.

and also stream music direct from watch

Yes Apple Watch can measure your current heart rate as you run but unless you install a 3rd party app, it still cannot monitor your max heart rate so far in your current run, right ?

Thanks

Not sure about that as I only use it for cycling. I'm not a runner. 😁
