To conclude, same "sapphire" used for their iphone camera lens... So if one feels dont need screen protector, do think twice though :(

I’ve thought since my first AW in 2015, over these years also experienced some knocks and rubs on hard surfaces, never had any scratches on the sapphire screen from first gen AW to Series 7.

So I conclude, no need screen protector.

Do note those applecare+ 365 from alabs or qcd warranty only valid in SG, there is no international warranty
Is there such a local apple care? How about those sold by istudio? Apprently, they also offered 10% if I buy together with the Watch.

Could be older watch straps from the previous series (discontinued)

From my encounters apple store staff usually don't wear aftermarket bands haha..

I dropped using cases due to aesthetics, & wanna show how the watch should really look.

But for TG I will definitely put one cuz it doesn't really affect the looks of the watch unless someone come to you up close to inspect it. Barely visible imo.

Despite having AC+, it's more for a peace of mind from "shattering" or when it's time to "refresh" my AWU :ROFLMAO:

I am fine with hairline scratches on my watch frame, but never my screen (It's just me).

Because ultimately the thing that you will constantly see everyday is your screen & it will definitely be an eyesore if there is a hairline scratch right in the middle of your screen

So to conclude: (Half) c0nd0m on! :ROFLMAO:

I have embraced into the life of not wearing cases (Except for Nomad stealth combo :ninja:)

But I will always have a TG on regardless. YMMV;)

We always will learn it the hard way haha! :ROFLMAO:

Just like me reluctant to buy AC+ for iPhone because I never shatter my iPhone screen before. (& Expensive )

While you will never put on a TG on your AW because you have never shattered it before.

But since it's tested that the AWU sapphire screen is similar/same as our iPhones, it's something people should be weary about. But probably due to the size of the screen, with a smaller surface area, it'll be harder to shatter as compared to an iPhone. YMMV :D

Depends on individual. I cant stand any scratches on my device :s13:

But for me i thought apple will use a pure sapphire screen on awu... In the end, gg... A bit disappointed though

Not whether it’s harder to shatter or not, but how it’s dropped and where it impacts.

This year nevertheless, I bought AC+ for all my new devices. :ROFLMAO:

For my 14 Pro Max, on one part of the Spigen TG screen protector already have slight tiny hairline scratches, possibly due to some metal contact when placed in my bag.

I’m not really bothered about whether Apple uses pure sapphire crystal or not, as long as it’s not ‘Ion X‘ glass. :ROFLMAO:

AWU is marketed as a rugged watch meant for extreme sports or outdoor activities. If having pure sapphire, would be very brittle and that’ll defeat the purpose already.

I think AWU can go raw.

I have some “defensive” stances which I developed during the time when I wear my other expensive watch over the weekend

when I walk in a crowded area, I usually keep my hands in front instead of the side to prevent myself knocking into pop’s Watch or anything they might have.

I’m also a bit more mindful when I go abt my daily life, because I wear my watch on my right hand and I’m a right handed

while Sapphire Crystal is more scratch resistant vs Gorilla Glass, it is actually more BRITTLE i.e. less strong vs impact…
