Altho it's Apple, definitely would not pay $489 for it. :censored:

It's a 42mm band so it was super tight fit with the AWU & the Titanium & SS finish is not as seamless as I hoped.

These are some pics that I took at Apple store some time back. Up close it's pretty obvious both have different shade of color/finish. :ROFLMAO: YMMV

I'll only put the Link Bracelet on my Ultra if I need a dress watch for certain function or occasion.

Was either going for this or nomad titanium but the price is also about $400ish and need to wait till April, which is quite long, by then perhaps the feel already gone 😂

I have it for a few years already. SS definitely will scratch, no matter how careful you are with it. I got it as a present from my wife so not affected by the cost of it. =:p

If you're asking if worth that much? Honestly it is pretty steep, but it's Apple. You're paying for the manufacturing process and the ease/design of being able to remove links without any tools. At that time was $519, after EPP (Employee Purchase Program), it's around $460.
Wa ur wife good leh...:s13:

Seems like the prices of the silver version is slightly lower. was hoping the Apple version will be more sturdy but perhaps it’s time to visit the Apple Store to compare the difference 😂

yea how nice, if need to pay so much money for a strap and it’s not instantly can get then no point waiting. and I prefer the bracelet to be like normal auto watches kind, instead of magnetic clasp. I scared it will come loose

Personally, despite Apple's having the ease of remove links without any tools, I don't see how you will need to constantly add/remove links from time to time. Metal bands usually just need to fit once. Unless you rapid gain/lose weight within a short and it becomes too tight/loose :ROFLMAO:

I wore it from Mon-Fri this week :ROFLMAO:

Metal bands are the most versatile band for daily use (If you don't mind the additional weight)

The only time that I can think of that metal bands are a no go is when you are doing sports/water sports, or at the beach. Formal/Smart casual/Casual all can go well with metal band. 😀

But all round down to personal preference la haha!

My $50 Taobao version already scratched badly but I wear it mon-fri on office days. just thinking if it’s worth to go for the near $500 original version or nomad titanium

U missed Nomad's Black Friday sales tho. 3 of my friends hooted at Sgd $330 including shipping. But regarding where to buy right now I have no comments :ROFLMAO: Buying SRP directly on Nomad's site without any sales is an absolutely no go for me. I guess your best bet is wait for local distributors to bring in. (Which might be after April/Nomad clear their backorder first)

Trust me. The feeling won't gone one. Those who dive into AWU will continue buying newer AWU/Apple Titanium watches in the future. Just like bro @Snoweagle who had his Apple Steel link band for so many years already. 😀

Unlike leather or fabric bands that will wear off over time. Metal bands will follow you for many years to come. For sure can use for AWU2, AWU3, AWU4, AWU Pro Max :cool:

True, else those expensive mechanical watches will feel the pinch.

The good thing about the removal of links without tools is the convenience of replacing badly scratched links easily.

For sure you will prefer normal clasp UNTIL you try the magnetic clasp. :ROFLMAO:

It contributes as a major factor on how I managed to poison 3 pax within a week of Black friday sales :devilish:

In no way it will come loose, actually the magnetic clasp is even more secure than the traditional clasp.
Traditional = Locking mechanism
Magnetic = Locking mechanism+ Magnets

Magnetic clasp doesn't mean it's just held together with a few piece of magnet like the Apple leather link strap without any locking mechanism la haha! :censored:
