Water leaking through false ceiling

Can it be removed with chemicals? Or need to change the boards
If really have moulds then of Coz best is to redo the panels lo
The structure still there shouldn’t be so expensive?

can paint but u paint on the surface u looking at
If inside full of moulds is there but can’t see but can inhale in lor
Better not o have those oil based sealant plus gd paint imo

oil based smelly but they r v lasting wor
Can choose Matt version

happened to my living room false ceiling also

the cause was the floor on top which is the MBR balcony, the decking joint with door got water seeping thru.

Ownself DIY cos manage to find out early after seeing mold stains on the curtain tracks area. After sealing the balcony floor door gap with the gorilla water seal paint, i put 4 thrist hippo into the false ceiling to absorb the residual moisture. So far so good. changed a few times thristy hippo (they get filled damn fast while inside the enclose false ceiling, can imagine how moist inside)
