I too recently got a 'Welcome Back' reward : Simply do a 1-time funding of S$10 or more during the promotion period & maintain it until end-Oct 2023 in order to get US$20-400 worth of Trading vouchers. So I put in $20 to see how it goes.
Thanks for sharing. Webull promo is usually trading vouchers whereas moomoo promo some is cold hard cash. Yes indeed. Pls tell me if other more branded broker say IBKR can give even earlier? They even impose a minimum in order to do currency exchange. This mean if you sell you get back USD you make sure this amount is big enough to pass the minimum check to get back SGD. So what if IBKR give spot rate this minimum actually hamper small-time investors. This is also why I don't go for IBKR. It is listed in US exchange btw.Must wait until T+2 to withdraw...![]()

See this forum before I explore others most swear by IBKR for US and other trading but they did not give details on other feature for which I discover and that is the minimum amount to do currency exchange. They just keep telling ppl IBKR give spot rates which is true yes but conveniently ignore they impose a minimum which is why I need to keep repeating this becuz it does impact for some investors like me.I dun think so...![]()

You need to check if your US commission free is ending soon. Mine is only 183 days ending on 1 Oct 2023. After which US stock,ETFT include fractional is minimum USD 50 cents! Quickly move over to moomoo who just started US stock,ETF fractional. Theirs is 0.99% cap at USD 0.99 ideal for fractional shares per trade where you can buy every single trading day and enjoy the DCA process.I see...
I just received 10 free US$3 fractional shares from WeBull...![]()
Still can earn so its ok...You need to check if your US commission free is ending soon. Mine is only 183 days ending on 1 Oct 2023. Finally the good times have ended. 01 Oct 2023 onwards all US stock/ETF including fractional now will be levied a minimum USD 0.50 fee. This mean for a USD 5 order you need to pay USD 0.50 which is 10% fee. This USD 0.50 is also applicable for sell too.
Lucky moomoo just kick off their US stock/ETF fractional shares. Can carry your USD 5 per order there paying 0.99% which is about USD 0.05 cap at USD 0.99 platform fee. Commission so far free.
Hahaha that's because you're the extremely minor exception who trades $5 worth of stock per order only.See this forum before I explore others most swear by IBKR for US and other trading but they did not give details on other feature for which I discover and that is the minimum amount to do currency exchange. That is when you are wrong man! US fractional shares trading is slowly catching up. Moomoo, tiger also on the bandwagon to offer this. There is indeed a growing Spore investor market for them to tap on. Imagine you buy so many times at USD 5 so your overall buy in price would be average out. You also do currency exchange at multiple times (as low minimum) to average out even further.Hahaha that's because you're the extremely minor exception who trades $5 worth of stock per order only.
You make yourself an exception then keep crying foul. Very funny lor
Like I said you are a very small exception, probably 0.1%. Most people would be buying >$100 per order. That is when you are wrong man! US fractional shares trading is slowly catching up. We shall see if US fractional shares trading is just "fashion" which will go away or here to stay. My bet is it will stay due to the low barrier to entry.
This is a forum correct? I cannot cry foul about IBKR? I want to flag it out so any potential newbie can take those factors into consideration before going with IBKR or not. Btw Webull free US comm ended for me after 183 days. I quick hand quick leg setup base in moomoo just in time they offer US fractional.Like I said you are a very small exception, probably 0.1%. So since you buying so small then just stick to webull, but don't keep crying foul about ibkr since it obviously doesn't suit your style of trading.
But I got a feeling they'll start introducing commission in the future.
There's ibkr lite which has no fees, but Singapore is not eligible. so maybe the market is too small in Singapore for zero fee brokerage or it isn't profitable to introduce for a small market like Singapore
Your gripe about ibkr is the $1.90 commission to convert currency right? This is a forum correct? I cannot cry foul about IBKR? One reader use the atas word "holistically as a whole IBKR is a better choice" Haha I wanna laugh but I ignore him already so don't intend to reply just read when I free got time.
