Alipay can transfer to individual from wallet but not from cc

If I remember correctly, she scanned my qr code. Then she made the transfer on her end.

On last Sat I was making reservations + payment with ASCOTT Apartment using WeChat Pay for RMB 1.7K but first time round it was rejected with a notice about online scams etc.
Retry and payment went through second time. Maybe same issue since this is a slightly larger amount than you would normally transact or a new merchant you are dealing with first time.
the issue with wechatpay is that all my credit card bill appears as wechat tencent. no mention of merchant name…

I believe once the real identity verification have been submitted and verified, no issues with any payment anywhere.
Though those few days while pending verification was annoying and cumbersome.
Also, can "circumvent" the fees by splitting the payment for those that is scanned and manual amount inputted.
Otherwise, its been smooth and convenient during my usage over in China.

Download douyin then topup 1rmb from wechat to your douyin account. I assume if it goes through then shouldn't be an issue when using wechat pay in china.

Wouldn't recommend doing bolded too often, if at all. Know of people whose accounts got suspended due to this.

hi all . can anyone advise. going Beijing n tianjin on thurs.
i have linked n activated my wechat with my TRUST credit card. But couldnt buy anything on wechat other than 1 hotel lodging booked and paid using the internal Wechat hotel platform (deducted from my linked TRUST card). does this mean i am good to use wechat to scan n pay in China ? Such as didi or small payment amount (less than 200 to avoid the 3% service fees).
i have linked my alipay to my TRUST card as well for a back up and managed to get my metro/bus card activated in Alipay (doesnt work for wechat).
In Wechat, i couldnt buy any things else like (train tickets/forbidden palace tickets) as all of them required a china phone number. Even the metro scan mini program doesnt work. I guess due to SGP hp number registed in my wechat setup. Not planning to get China SIM card as i got 1 VPN data only card for my coming trip.

For my case, last week, wechat failed but Alipay no problem with didi, metro, mama shop, etc. No China sim. Just prepare some cash for just in case.

It doesn't allow me to top up from wechat either as my wechat is linked to Trust which is a foreign credit card

Actually dunno why they let foreigners top up wechat/alipay wallet from foreign cc.
