Deduct from YT card. Can I check for WeChat pay need to top up the wallet then can use? Or can just use and it will deduct directly to my linked YT card?
Here's the proof that will make you convinced.Someone claimed they could use, receive, send and spend from WeChat Pay Balance without linking a China issued debit/credit card.
How true is this? What's the monthly and yearly payment/transfer limits? Are payments to personal Weixin Pay QR codes supported?
Without knowing which version of wechat you are using, it's not meaningful to compare. I believe only you are able to receive and pay out of your wallet. I know most if not all people around don't have this function without linking to a chinese card. I can link to sing cc though
I'm using international version of WeChat lah. Version 8.0.49. Download from Google Playstore.Without knowing which version of wechat you are using, it's not meaningful to compare. Not doubting you but it's not really helpful unless we can replicate
How do I check?@dilphinus Thanks for the screenshots. I'm intrigued by this.
Is your wallet balance classified as type I or II? Under this law, type I wallets have a lifetime transaction limit of 1,000 CNY. Type II wallets have a yearly transaction limit of 100,000 CNY.
While its better than nothing, type I wallets are woefully inadequate.
Try paying for something above 1,000 CNY with your wallet balance. This is the only way. WeChat Pay customer service cannot advise. How do I check?
Can you even top up any amount to your wechat wallet?@dilphinus Thanks for the screenshots. I'm intrigued by this.

Don't have China bank card so cannot. See screenshot above. Post #1108.Can you even top up any amount to your wechat wallet?
There are no deposit limits for WeChat Pay Balance and Alipay Balance. There are spending and transfer limits according to your Balance type however. Can you even top up any amount to your wechat wallet?
Don't understand what you mean. Your credit limit is still cap according to your credit card linkedIf multiple wechat account linked to same credit card, the annual payment limit is multiplied by the number of accounts right? Of couse as long the linked cc limit doesnt go kaboom
Not sure if wechat will detect this and ban all the accounts

There is no clear guidance from the People's Bank of China on this. This law requires all transactions on Alipay and WeChat Pay to be cleared by NetsUnion Clearing Corporation (NUCC). Government linked entities collectively own 37% of NUCC.If multiple wechat account linked to same credit card, the annual payment limit is multiplied by the number of accounts right?
Previously, even if you had activated WeChat Pay with your passport and were able to link your international debit/credit card, you could only activate WeChat Pay Balance with a China issued debit/credit card.isn't the type 1 or II derived from how exhaustive the personal ID verification process was conducted ?

Isn't 5,000 USD per transaction and 50,000 USD per year more than enough?
Never use personal debit/credit cards for business purchases.
