Couldn't transfer from Mari credit card. Able to transfer to WeChat wallet from savings but fx has 0.46% difference.
I can use Mari Saving Account to transfer to my WeChat linked China Bank account previously,(SG Passport opened), not sure now. Recently use DBS, because DBS has it's Remit Promotion for new user ( can do yearly), With that, it beat the Mari Bank FX rate.

so basically, all spending in China (any amount) should be done via WeChat Wallet (backup with Alipay).

The main challenge is to top-up WeChat Wallet with the best exchange rate.

And currently via MariBank overseas transfer is 1 of the best rate around.

All the above correct?

on WeChat, search mini program and set up the “跨境汇款 微汇款”, and set up your wechat receive information first, then use DBS Remit to remit the money to Wechat. see below DBS link for the detail.

DBS promo, you referring to this?
Enjoy up to S$60 cashback1 when you make your first overseas transfer with DBS Remit and apply the cashback voucher available on digibank.
  • Transfer at least S$300 to enjoy S$12 cashback!
  • Transfer at least S$1,500 to enjoy S$60 cashback!

Sending money to China just got easier! DBS Remit now supports Weixin (WeChat) transfers for both local and foreign users.

Whether supporting your family or topping up your Weixin (WeChat) for travelling in China, enjoy almost-instant transfers to Mainland China with preferential rates and zero fees.

By transfer/top-up your WeChat wallet money thru bank. For those in doubt.

🔎 How to Avoid the Fee
    • Use Wallet Balance: Funding your WeChat Pay wallet balance beforehand completely bypasses the 3% transaction fee on large purchases. [1, 2]
    • Split Payments: Keeping individual purchases under RMB 200 avoids the threshold when paying directly via a foreign card

That's right, only 2 option to bypass.
Wallet Balance is the wiser choice since by right "Split Payment" is gaming the system. :o
