What is the usb 3.0 usb header like ah? Can plug onto mainboard right? I a bit traumatized by my 650D one which is basically a pass through behind the case to plug into the back. :s22:

yup, connect directly to the mainboard for the front usb.
as it is a two chamber design, one side can show case your board/gpu/aio/ram, the other side will be where you dump all your wiring, easiest wire management ever...haha

Only if your mainboard has the corresponding USB 3.0 header lor.

But u can also connect the casing USB 3.0 connector via a converter, into a USB 2.0 header and operate at USB 2.0 speeds.

It will be an entire new system so the mainboard will have the header. I not sure if you aware but the old 650D from corsair had no usb head for the 3.0 front ports. It was supposed to be pulled to the back and plugged into your mainboard's usb 3.0 port at the back. :s22:

I see... indeed that doesn't seem like an elegant solution. :o

I hate this one also, using this method, got big awful thick cable I cannot hide.

the USB 3.0 cable coming from the I/O port itself is just as thick anyway, you just have the additional connector to hide, not the additional thickness of the cable. alternatively, you can mod your current front I/O port cabling as per below link, and save on additional connectors to hide.
