one of my apple magic mouse now cannot right click :s22:

don't intend to get another apple one. may consider the logitech touch mouse t620. unless for gaming, touch mouse is the way to go as nowadays everything gesture based.

or get leap motion.

How's the battery life. Thinking of getting that mouse also

Battery life sucks ......:D
I have been using Performance MX 950 close to 3years or more ...
And I need charge my mouse once every month on average usage.
If you game a lot, I believe u will need to charge almost ever week.

Overall it's still a good mouse, thanks to the Darkfield technology.
It will still work on a GLASS Surface ...

But the Logitech Control Center or LCC does not do much on Mac OS platform.
Bought Steermouse for US$20 does much better job.

looking for bluetooth mouse. Does not want to waste another port for the receiver.

I didn't want to get apple's magic mouse. But right now i am looking at Logitech V470, Logitech M555b and Razer Orochi.

I strongly recommend the Magic Mouse too. I've used other bluetooth mice, including a Logitech and Razer, and they don't measure up in terms of "performance". I posted about this in my blog about 2 years back. (Much Fuss About Mice | Zit Seng's Superwall) Apple's Magic Mouse is surprisingly good value for money, considering that it both looks great and performs very well.

I also tried the various mouses you mentioned and keeps coming back to the Magic Mouse. Like the swiping actions for different screens, smooth scrolling up/down etc. Also for me it is very important that the mouse seems to react as you swipe left/right/up/down. Some of the other mouse don't give you that feel/reactivity. Must like swiping an iPhone vs Samsung phone comparison.

Magic Mouse + Mobee Magic Charger.
no more batteries.

Glad to hear that the Mobee Magic charger works for you. I tried but the charging died on arrival, the battery also seems to degrade over time very fast and threw it away in the end!

really? I think the magic mouse was one of the worst mouse made and totally overpriced, but i guess each to its own. Is okay for browsing stuffs and doing normal stuff and probably good at doing for normal use. But I just don't see it any good compared to high end mice.

Actually, Razer and Logitech mice not be responsive have nothing to do with the Build of the mouse but probably due to the Mac OS X, which have sensitivity and responsive issues since its early days. So it is something Apple have to solve. And of cuz , Mac products always tend to work well in their own field.

ah i heard about the lag issue, but has anyone tried the Logitech M555b although it is $20 more expensive than V470.

Was actually planning to get V470 until i saw your post, now had to consider hard to see which other to get.

The only good thing about the magic mouse is that it supports many of osx multitouch features, but I will find it quite heavy and cumbersome to use. Looks nice, but I can't believe apple can charge $100 for it with a straight face.
