Magic mouse is tiring to use after long hours of usage. Functionality is sacrificed for looks.

Didn't see a need for mouse on my MBA, using Magic Trackpad for past 3.5yrs.. can't live w/o gestures.. :s13: especially with BetterTouchTool and customised all my gestures

Magic Trackpad is bigger than the built-in touchpad, and I could place it anywhere that's ergonomically for my comfort instead of having to use the built-in pad at a weird angle for hours and.. aching.. also useful when I sometimes hook to monitor, place the MBA in vertical clamshell mode, so I still get to do my gestures with Magic Trackpad ... and using normal USB keyboard with it..

oh yeah and I don't game.. so no precision required.. :s22:

magic mouse can do gestures too.

honestly, can't do without the mouse (any brand). even owning trackpad, trackball, pen & tablet, me always go back to the mouse. :o

The built in pad causes some discomfort for me after some long time using.

a separate magic trackpad is good but wouldnt it be kinda troublesome to keep scrolling if you are surfing very long pages???

I use the Magic Mouse. This, and the previous Mighty Mouse, are really lag free even after the mouse has been "idle". Unlike other bluetooth mice, including Logitech and Razer which I've tried, tend to suffer a small response lag after it has been left alone.

troublesome when compared to ?

that's what the OSX built-in 2 finger scrolling gestures are for aint it?

besides, I've got additional customised gestures with BetterTouchTool, i.e. Page Up/Page Down, Home, End.. etc all within my fingertips :s13:

Okay say like i have a very very long page and that i scroll all the way down. is there anyway to return to top of the page using gestures???

i know command up does the job, but can it be done just via hand gestures?

PS, i switched to mac from windows a while back...still discobering some features

And to think I spent almost $200 on the Microsoft Natural Mouse 2.0 back in the 90s. :s13:

yes thats what the BTT gesture customisations are for.. you can link the gestures to any combination of keyboard presses/hotkeys etc..

command UP is the same as the Home button key... so yeah in my own customisations its like that

can also refer to all the Hotkey shortcuts here OS X keyboard shortcuts

Agreed...my MBP's mousepad spoilt quite long ago. I rather buy a mouse than spend $ to repair it again!
