What PC fans do you use and prefer?

May I know at what rpm of the fan speed and noise level in dba to dropped 5c ?

If I take gaming in general, on the P12, I was running rpms close to max, around 1.7+K, with the P12 Max and the 5C drop, rpms were around 2.5k. I don't have a db meter so can't really quantify the noise level.

Maybe some reviews like this one might give you some clues to the difference in noise:

Not worth. The Arctic P12 is cheaper and better. Even the GT is better and cheaper.

yes, if your equipment depends on it. I have 3x noctua AF-12x25s in a server build, running 24/7, cleaned out regularly and not a single one failed in 5 years. Also I have a peace of mind since I don't check the status of the server often.

You can buy on amazon sg from Noctua directly, make sure the seller name is "Noctua Cooling Solutions SP". Local retaliers seem to sell at a much higher price even though warranty is still deal with Noctua direct ourselves. I think their stock is also parallel import so might as well buy from Noctua directly.

It only makes sense when you buy direct from vendors in bulk that give you close to cost price.

I would love to summarize to TLDR but it is worth watching fully. Very interesting technical dive into Fan designs and how Noctua takes forever to make a fan.

The fans maybe expensive but they do perform for a very long time. Buy once and forget kind of thing.
I am excited for their new 140mm fan since I am using a 280mm Radiator.

I used to like air coolers. But over time, the CPU are running hotter and hotter, which resulted in bigger and bigger cooler. The last one that I used was the BeQuiet Dark Rock 4 Pro. It was massive and caused massive obstruction in my system. In short, it was blocking any connectors around the CPU, RAM, and even the GPU (because it was so close to the GPU, trying to get to the locking mechanism of the PCI-E slot is a pain).
