using Creative T20 at home, JBL Quantum Duo in office

T20 already 3 years+ still going strong, Quantum Duo just bought last month at discount. Decent performance for its size

Not sure about jbl speakers but their headphone dont sound as good as turtlebeach ones lol

Edifier bookshelf speakers. Really no horse run for the price. I'm not usually a fan of China branded products, but edifier is one of the exceptions.

Oh so it is a tiong brand. I thought it sounded western lol

Hmm there is also elac speaker. Wonder if anyone use before

conventional ones use the 3.5mm jack from the back of the computer

My JBL one uses USB from the computer to the speakers. Apparently when connected it auto installs some drivers or something and then sound magically appears out from the speakers from the computer 🤷‍♂️

Harman kardon soundsticks 2, with me for years already. Still look like designer ware, with a decent sound

Did you get your Edifier speakers online or from any store ?
Only know about Edifier these few days while I am looking around.
But, SG Inc dun really have a lot of physical store carrying it.
As mentioned above, I have budget constraints for the next speakers that I am looking at.
I bought the last set from Fuwell in SLS, that time wanted to buy the cheaper R1280DB but no stock throughout entire SLS.. so settle for this at a higher price around $200.

Fuwell just halved its shop space.
I think it will just die very soon.
Sad to say, there are really not much options around at SLS.
Seems like the Challenger are offering more brands and choices instead.

I usb out to external dac, then to speakers.

But nowadays onboard mobo soundcards are very capable, just 3.5mm jack to speakers can liao, most people wouldn't be able to tell the difference, esp with some software eq tweak
