What should i upgrade 13600kf to?

interesting post.

i wonder which casing and air cooler or aio is plan for the new system?

for mobo extra m.2 is always welcome if moving away from hdd which also reducing the extra sata cable from both mobo and psu.

actually 7800x3D still very strong gaming cpu (if the price differences for 200++) if no plan on playing with any OC (looking at the board of selection) plug and play with good 6000 memory 1:1

okies, current plan:
9800X3D going into existing MSI B650M-A Wifi with Asus Prime 9070XT
Existing 7800X3D going into the new B850 Aorus Wifi 6E with Sapphire pulse 9070

Ram i havent decided yet, will be giving the 13600kf + B760M-A Wifi to my nephew
Crucial RAM 16GBx2 DDR5 4800MHz CL40
GPU wise he's on my old 4060Ti atm, but im planning to upgrade for him too during jun holidays
both of them actually 😂

Above crucial 16Gb ram i have 1 extra stick left, if want to save costs would be to just buy 1 more the same
or i could also sell it off as it is still brand new in casing

Cooler wise i kinda prefer the traditional aircooler still
looking at Thermalright FS140 White ARGB Radiator

Why buy a new B850 for the 7800X3D rather just get another B650M motherboard.
Or the old chip just stay on the old motherboard.
The new chip on the new motherboard will be better.

RAM wise try to get at least DDR5-5600 get such high end CPU but cheap out
on the mobo and RAM.
I seriously have nothing to say.

Cuz if it were me I won't save like that especially the RAM.

bro chill chill, i havent decided yet lah haha

but should be only getting the new rams for the 9800X3D for my boy, my own use with the 7800x3d i will be sticking to the old ones~

honestly real world difference i probly cant notice much difference
personally all the super high monitor refresh rates i already cant tell much difference also

also the improvement is minimal ba?

Memory timings. The last 2 is your best choice depending on budget. First one has no reference to timings so skip it. Looking at the price of the 1st one, might be loose timings.

I think you shouldn't focus on getting new chip.
Get better RAM, to you maby you won't see difference.
These AMD Ryzen chips by right it support DDR5-5600 so get at least DDR5-6000
for maximum performance.

See which suits you and get it.
Second will be your SSD, not sure what you are using.
Hopefully is not some China OEM SSD like TimeTec or something.

Cheapest SSD that I prefer will be Lexar NM790 Gen 4.
Maximum read and write is close to 7000mb/s and is comparable with Samsung SSD.
I think for now don't be focus on getting new chip, try to get better RAM and better SSD.

Cuz I do observe your threads, you like to play with parts that can save you money.
Why not ask me what rig I am using?
I am still rocking a Intel i9 9900k with RTX 2080 Ti, I don't see a need to upgrade
my rig since it is still very solid.

noted, i believe you have your own reasons for the cpu mobo pairing. and can always swap for different experience since it is easily recognised as long as with updated BIOS. hope you are also comfortable with BIOS setting.

for RAM i also using Crucial ram, but Pro variant with base clock 5600MT which i believe is good start as comparing most other ram base clock for 4800MT even if you no plan to go expo.

since we are disucssing on x3D cpu, ram really have minimal impact on gaming.

cooler wise seems good, just get mx6 paste will good for long time.

today i tried the warhammer on my 9800x3D and 360 aio, average temp 60c.

though i think this game graphich is realy beatiful but also demanding. aveage on my 7900xtx @ 1440p was 130fps native, mostly i notice is high 90fps to low 100fps range using adrenalin overlay.

TBH AMD Ryzen memory kit you have to play around.
Different motherboard will have different preference of RAM, some kit
may not be stable.

I will always recommend G.skill first than Crucial for AMD Ryzen.
Other kits I see people use are ADATA XPG or Lexar, Teamgroup have
but very few.

That kit CAS latency is low but you have to buy and test if stable or not.
I cannot comment seriously given what I encounter with different AMD motherboard
always have different kits that they prefer.
