What tv box to buy good one? Budget $100-150

dont buy tv box. now a day, with smart google tv there is no need for a tv box.
We buy TV box b4 is because it come with IPTV and VOD.
Today, with google tv you can installed your own iptv and lots of VOD app that is better than TV box is available everywhere.
If you should still want a TV box, a good and fair cost concious budget of around $70 would be google chomecast with google tv but please be awared that you should be a little tech savvy to use google tv so as to be able to sideload apk into google tv.

I remember reading about some people kenna sued by the TV company directly for watching such shows via the Internet.
They got a court order to force the ISP to reveal the identities of those IP addresses who watched the illegal shows .
It was some time ago so I can’t find the article again .
But that is the risk faced by consumers .

The copyright has since enacted that monetising copyright material without licence is illegal. Downloading of copyright material too. However, the law is silent on the streaming of copyright material without monetising the streaming is absent from the act,
So as for now, using TV box is ok but selling or providing streaming service with payment is not.

I'm using nVidia Shield (tube version). Good but it has its shortcomings. Somehow the internet will have limited connection after I start the device and after 5 mins this will be gone by itself. Weird.

Apps now downloadable from its playstore would have to be sideloaded. Apps that are compatible or can be downloaded from your phone's playstore, might not be available to nVidia Shield.

Oh and that lousy remote is not helping. They should come up with a remote that also has a mini keyboard. I end up buying a mini keyboard instead.

Thats why they hv their legal scholar to advise on the legal boundery can earn the max without being illegal. The moment pte sector do that, go by the definition and work within the boundery, govt come out with new lines or new interpretation to say cannot. Its illegal. yes, you are pretty right. If you do have a old pc like running windows 7 that i dont think you will consider using for anything except to type a few letter or broswe internet for some info or do some excel table. You can use it to repurpose to be a TV box.
Is a simple process, all you need to do is installed this x86 android os into your windows 7 in C:/ like you do in any windows installation. Give 32 gb harddisk space and after installation reboot and you will see 2 boots
1 for windows
2 For phoenix os (android tv box)

You can use hdmi and plug into your tv and you have a tv box for free and is fairly good.
