for me, I also don't long hold the back button for whatsapp, and I allow auto start permission..

if you long hold to close I think it won't load

Initially I thought $1.99 is really nothing and quite reasonable. But seeing how other similar apps like wechat, line, telegram, viber, etc. don't charge, and how it just got a huge cash injection from facebook, I now find it unreasonable of them to charge. I have some friends who wouldn't pay just on principle.

And whatsapp isn't even the "best" app out there. It still can't video call and it doesn't have "stickers". Those huge images are really cute.

Whatsapp is not the best but it has large userbases. Most of our friends use whatsapp and so need to use unless you can make most of your contact use other apps.

this is the advantage that whatsapp has from being the earliest app out there, we are trapped! lol
