Uber totally cannot work properly, can run but not much else. Same for Uber eats. Grab works fine though.

I bought as to see how mi6 can offer with camera. I feel mate 9 still win for me.
Unstable google services another deciding factor.

Maybe one can buy and just using it to download app will do.

Any idea how long will take for a stable gapps on mi phone?

Can consider using xiaomi EU ROM when there is one. This ROM is basically a China ROM, with some China stuff removed and den add on Google service in to it.

Just offload mine set (ufs2.1)
Will wait for the top tier set to be out with better gapps support.

I would suggest buy now as the batch most probably UFS2.1.

One day with mi6. Used the backup method to install Google play Store. Downloaded most of the usual apps I usually use. Google services still not very stable and all of the non system widgets went missing.

Most apps run fine including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Bluemail(for Gmail, Yahoo mail), native mail app(company email pop3), Chrome, Whatsapp, Wechat, Grab etc

Some apps just don't work like Uber, Pokémon Go.

Also having issues sending SMS. Always fail to send but can receive.

Anyone have similar SMS issue? (on M1)

You guys sure it's not due to permissions problem? Turn on all permissions for the apps that hv problems and try again. China ROM has too many permissions that's probably the cause of ur apps not working

You guys sure it's not due to permissions problem? Turn on all permissions for the apps that hv problems and try again. China ROM has too many permissions that's probably the cause of ur apps not working

Have turn on all permissions for Google play services etc. Better now. Almost everything works.

No issues at all now with Gmail, Google maps, purchasing or updating of apps via playstore.

Of apps I use daily, only
Uber and Uber eats still cannot work. Same for Pokémon Go. Other games that require Google Play for tracking game progress like War Robots works as do Hearth stone.

There are some people in the miui forum that bought from europe reseller have vendor global rom installed. The miui forum moderator had said there is no global rom yet.

I don't use Uber so can't help u there. But I think it needs GPS and access to phone account for log in? In regards to games, did u install Google play game?
