MIUI 9 built 070726
Response has much improved. Comparable to OP5, need more time to test battery life but public beta should be released coming 11th Aug. I'm just too impatient to wait but so far so good.
Slow GPS fix has been fixed at least MIUI 9

If you are on EU ROM, can test.

Public beta is only for china rom. Rumour global beta at least sept.

Saw some people said the camera quality worst compared to miui 8.

You can install EU ROM which is based on China ROM. It has the latest bug fixes and better battery life compared to global ROM normally.

Camera is still quite good from the few shots I took. Anyway, I don't use camera much

How about this: take the savings from not buying a Samsung (or LG or Sony or OP) and use that to buy a nice Bluetooth headset which u can use across any future smartphone you will buy?

LG V30 also no headphone jack already. It's a matter of time...

I think get the official set from lazada is more worth it. If you are not a liveup member , you can sign up for the trial and earn rebates of about $30. Cancel the trial membership if you don't like within 60 days. Lazada now also have code for 13 off 100 for dbs users.
