Not sure why for my Redmi Note 4, I can just use the unlock tool and it will unlock immediately, but last time for Mi 5, I need to wait for certain period of time like what you mentioned. Maybe flagship they make it more difficult?
Definitely pay via Qoo10, but you can either wait for them to deliver or go to their shop to collect.

Maybe, maybe.Not sure why for my Redmi Note 4, I can just use the unlock tool and it will unlock immediately, but last time for Mi 5, I need to wait for certain period of time like what you mentioned. Maybe flagship they make it more difficult?
But mi5x isn't flagship. Hahaa

Collected Liao. The size very nice. Can check till you happy there, and make sure you check for defects. I noticed a minor cosmetic defect on mine and they just changed a set straight. Can use *#*#64663#*#* to do some basic diagnostic test. Other than basic things like camera, flash, speaker, etc, can check smaller things like gyro, accelerometer, led light, light sensor, proximity sensor. NFC if you have another Android phone with NFC to do android beam. Chances of it not working I think quite low la. But better safe than later have to go back again.

Read in miui forum, older version of unlock tool has loophole can unlock immediately. Only newer version unlock tool that fixed the loophole support mi 6.
Don't know why they go through so much pain for their cheap phones.
If it's like iPhones, then I can understand, since its several times more expensive than theirs.
The logic given in their official forum, for in case thieves unlock the bootloader and what not, hence the 72 hours; I find it ridiculous.

Anyone here running custom roms? Looks like its quite different back when I was running Omnirom/Paranoid on Samsung.

For the first unit I checked there is a minor defect at the SIM tray opening. Like a small ding. If you ask me again, I think they return to supplier easier. Haha. Cause if want to resell again they have to paste back all the sticker and film swee swee. Time consuming.

I also want to collect fast but now overseas only be back on Saturday. Despite I paid them they still ask me to call again on Friday to confirm the stock, wtf I thought I paid already? What kind of rule is that?

I think you can access the diagnostic test by pressing either miui or kernel version (one is diagnostic, another is developers option, forgot which is which) multiple times.
